"The room was absolutely amazing, it felt like I was living right in the scenery of Napa Lake. Waking up to blue skies, white clouds, and green grass, plus getting to interact with the donkeys and cows right outside was a treat. The biggest surprise was breakfast; the food was the best I've had at any Shangri-La hotel. I highly recommend the black truffle scrambled eggs. The service was also excellent; the staff even helped us with our luggage."

"I specifically chose this hotel for my trip to Shangri-La, and the overall experience was fantastic! Upon arrival, the check-in process was smooth, and the front desk attendant was incredibly welcoming, proactively informing me about all the hotel's services. The hotel offers a shuttle service, and the driver was friendly and kind, always helping with luggage when getting in and out, which was a really nice touch. The hotel breakfast had a wide variety of options and tasted great, catering to different preferences. The room was spotless, and all the facilities were well-maintained. The 24-hour in-room oxygen supply was a huge bonus – I didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all and slept very soundly. This hotel offers excellent value for money and I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"

"Newly opened homestays, all facilities are very new. The boss provided pick-up service, came to Dukezong Ancient City to pick us up at 10 o'clock in the evening, and sent us to the high-speed rail station the next day. There were fewer people when we checked in that day, and the boss upgraded us to a room with a bathtub and balcony for free when we arrived late. The room is large in size, the sanitation is very good, the shower water temperature shows real-time temperature, the smart toilet, and the projector. The homestay is next to the road, the scenery is good, the night is good, there is no car, the car will be a bit noisy during the day. Tibetan breakfast, milk, butter tea (good), wontons (delicious!), cakes in the morning. If you can provide a disposable bath bag, a disposable toilet pad will be better"

"This is a genuine follow-up review. After my trip from Yunnan to Tibet, I'm reviewing it again a little over a month later. I switched rooms during my stay, and this was the second room I occupied. The outdoor terrace outside the bedroom, perfect for cloud-gazing, was absolutely fantastic. Among all the accommodations I experienced from Yunnan to Tibet, this one ranks first. Firstly, the oxygen supply system is excellent, which is crucial for any hotel above 3,000 meters. Both my wife and I suffered from altitude sickness this time, especially my wife who consumed alcohol, danced enthusiastically (Guozhuang dance), and showered – basically doing everything one shouldn't do when experiencing altitude sickness. This led to relatively deep cerebral hypoxia, but thanks to the diffused oxygen supply, we slept very well at night. Moreover, the owner provided nasal cannulas. After just 5 minutes of inhaling and 10 minutes of natural breathing, my heart rate quickly dropped from over 90 to over 70, and my wife's from over 110 to over 80. By consistently using the diffused oxygen every night and carrying oxygen tanks for use when my heart rate noticeably increased, we recovered even before reaching Lhasa. Secondly, the owner is exceptional. Not only are they warm and hospitable (e.g., reminding us when it rained as our clothes were drying outside), but when I mentioned upon checkout that the carpet was beautiful but easy to trip on, and the spacious bathroom was comfortable but lacked a place to put my phone while using it, and that the steps in the room were the same color as the floor, making them easy to miss – despite being such a picky guest, the owner actually sent me photos a few days later showing that all issues had been resolved! Having seen many hotels give canned, official responses on platforms, an owner this responsible absolutely deserves praise. Thirdly, as someone who loves city walks and has stayed in many hotels and B&Bs both domestically and internationally, this place is top-tier among its 'star-diamond' category. It's exquisite, and the aesthetics are spot-on. I won't go into details; just look at the photos. Perhaps because it's newly opened, I feel it could easily aim for the next level. Fourthly, we extended our stay in Shangri-La and switched rooms once, discovering that each room has its unique charm, and the quality control is excellent across the board. The bedding is very comfortable to sleep on, the pillows are well-matched for comfort, and the bathroom's wet/dry separation is very well executed. Fifthly, the hotel's location is superb. First, it's convenient; dining and shopping are all very close by, and it's easy to walk to the ancient town. Second, it's quiet despite being central; it's very peaceful at night, allowing for sound sleep even with altitude sickness. Finally, not being directly in the middle of the ancient town means no traffic jams when driving out, which is convenient. Sixth, the hotel rooms have a dedicated movie-watching mode, and the large-screen projection effect is excellent. It feels like Shangri-La often experiences heavy rain for two to three hours in the afternoons or evenings during the summer rainy season, which is perfect for an afternoon nap or a relaxing movie. The temperature drops significantly after the rain, but the sunset isn't until past 8 PM, making it ideal for a walk after adding a layer of clothing. I was very satisfied with this stay and will choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommended!"

"I absolutely loved the decor style of this guesthouse! Having an elevator was super convenient, especially with a lot of luggage. The host contacted us in advance to arrange pick-up and drop-off times. Plus, while we were out exploring, the front desk lady even helped us hang our laundry to dry! The room was well-equipped with everything we needed, including disposable bath towels and regular towels. The best part was how incredibly close it is to Dukezong Ancient City; I walked there twice and already knew my way around. I'm so happy that during this trip, I didn't have to worry about my accommodation at all. I love Yunnan and I love Shangri-La. Even though it was a brief encounter, meeting people is destiny. I hope the owner's guesthouse business thrives, as a genuinely kind heart will surely be rewarded 🤍💖"

"I originally booked a standard room, but the owner upgraded me for free when I arrived – a huge thank you to them! The entire courtyard environment is incredibly comfortable, and the sky is so blue, making it perfect for photos. The room's decor is simple and clean, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window that provides excellent light and ventilation. The bedding is so soft and relaxing to lie on, and it even has a projector, which was perfect for watching movies at night. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, with a smart toilet and a great shower – all the amenities are complete. The cleanliness was spot-on, with not a speck of dust on the floors or countertops. There are several seating areas in the public spaces with comfy sofas and chairs, great for just relaxing or getting some work done. I had such a comfortable stay here in Shangri-La. The owner is very thoughtful, the environment is quiet and peaceful, and the facilities are new and complete, offering incredible value for money. There's even a parking lot and EV charging stations. The hotel is new, beautifully designed, and located just a few minutes’ walk from Dukezong Ancient Town and the Giant Prayer Wheel, making it very convenient for sightseeing. The room was spotless, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed, including underfloor heating, a humidifier, an oxygen concentrator, a smart toilet, and a huge smart TV. These facilities made our stay extremely comfortable, especially in the high altitude of Shangri-La. The owners were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The complimentary airport/train station transfer was also a great bonus. Every detail showed how much they care about their guests. If you’re visiting Shangri-La and looking for a clean, modern, and comfortable hotel with exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend staying here!"
