Great
GGuest UserThe service staff could not hide their rudeness. The concierge was very rude about my late checkout. Paid the fee, and then asked for some tine to make sure everythjng was pacmed (i woke up late from my nap). We would ask about when the best time is for breakfast, and we would be asked condescendingly what is our concern, why are we asking. I asked for 30 minutes, theg said they can only give me 15 minutes. They would treat me like a runaway guest. I would tell them to charge it to my room so I can pay for it on checkout. They would refuse. They held the other guest over at one of the restaurants like they would not believe we would pay our fees, i had to go back to my room after their food upset my stomach.
I went to the champagne room from the good reviews. Some guests with no business there was being attended to by all the staff. They were blocking the way. I had a reservation and was ignored.
The pool is mid, the overhead shower does not really work, the food is also just okay.
GGuest UserI was amazed at how clean and trendy the hotel facilities were.
However, I was also very disappointed. This morning, I woke up to a strange and strong sewer smell in my room. It was so unpleasant that I opened the door to ventilate the area, but as I was too tired, I fell back asleep.
When I went down for breakfast, I felt dizzy and nauseous, as if I had inhaled gas for a long period of time. After breakfast, I reported the issue to the front desk, but since I was checking out that day, they did not seem particularly concerned.
I wanted to visit a hospital, but I assumed the hotel would not take responsibility, so I endured it. Instead, I checked out early to get some fresh air, and after about an hour outside, I finally began to feel better.
Since this issue is directly related to the health and safety of guests, I believe it should be addressed and resolved as soon as possible.
EEndless JourneyThe electric kettle in my room is defective and it burn almost causing fire. My room was filled with smoke but smoke did not trigger the alarm. I'm making this review for awareness and hope it will help to save life. The hotel is a bit old and has safety issues already. The staff went to my room and saw the room was filled with smoke. I just hope they prioritize my safety by offering to evacuate me but they just replace the burned electric kettle. It's not worth it. Don't risk your life. This hotel is a disaster waiting to happen. I believe they are not compliant with fire prevention laws. It may be cheaper but it comes with a safety risk. I don't recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at Hotel Sogo, and I must say that my overall experience was pleasant and satisfying. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how well-maintained and organized the place was. The room was exceptionally clean, which gave me an immediate sense of comfort and relaxation after a long day of travel. The floors were spotless, the linens smelled fresh, and the bathroom was tidy and well-sanitized — no traces of dirt or unpleasant odors at all.
The housekeeping staff clearly does an excellent job of maintaining cleanliness. They were very polite and accommodating whenever I requested for towels or extra toiletries. Every time I stepped out and returned, the room was always in perfect order — bed neatly fixed, trash emptied, and surfaces dust-free.
Aside from cleanliness, the room ambiance was cozy and peaceful. The air-conditioning worked well, the lighting was just right, and the TV provided a good variety of channels. The bed was comfortable enough for a restful sleep, and the overall environment was quiet, which made it easy to unwind.
I also appreciated the staff’s friendliness and professionalism. They greeted me with smiles and made sure that check-in and check-out were fast and convenient. Their hospitality made me feel welcome throughout my stay.
The location of the hotel is also a big plus — very accessible to transportation, convenience stores, and restaurants. It’s ideal for travelers who want a clean and affordable place to stay without sacrificing comfort and convenience.
Overall, I would describe my stay at Hotel Sogo as clean, safe, and comfortable. It’s a great choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize cleanliness and good service. I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I need a quick and relaxing place to rest.
JJohn Mungcal Sr.Staffs are friendly; one thing notable is the way the receptionist will find ways to make it easy for me to present other means of valid identification as I forgot to bring my original ID; she also mentioned the unavailability of some regular stuff being given to their customers due to holiday staffing limitation and supply deliveries. One of the cheapest but cleanest go-to hotels.
Famous fast food restaurants are just a few meters away, such as Mang Inasal and Jollibee. Other fast foods are plenty, the same with local carinderias, as well as convenience stores and bakeries, which are all a walk away only.
Very near government hospitals, namely Jose Reyes, Fabella, and San Lazaro. Leading banks are also in sight to access ATMs and other monetary needs.
Public transport is readily available esp LRT 1 Tayuman Station is just around the corner only
PPuerto Rico touristSmall room, towel is too old, the white colour of the towel looks dirty. When we enter the room it has a bad odour especially in the toilet area, that leads us to buy an albatross toilet odour ball to eliminate the bad smell. The toilet room is too small. The entire room is not sound proof, you can hear noise in other rooms even if it is a little sound. The good thing about this hotel is the location
BBrendon VWe had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet and the relaxing ambiance throughout the property. The location was also perfect—conveniently close to key attractions and public transport. Housekeeping was prompt and attentive, ensuring our stay was stress-free. Overall, it was a pleasant experience that exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service.
