Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba has been awarded the Regenerative ''Facility that improves the local environment as the number of customers increases'' rating, which is the fourth out of 5 in the ''Sakura Quality An ESG Practice'' certification system, which certifies accommodation facilities that implement SDGs. We obtained the evaluation (4 Gyokozakura) on Friday, March 24, 2023. "Sakura Quality An ESG Practice" certification is an SDGs certification system for accommodation facilities whose standards have been approved by the U.S. GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council). We organized the 17 goals of the SDGs into 172 standards, went through a certification process by an independent and neutral third-party committee, and were certified by the certification body to ensure that we are working hard every day to ensure a Japanese-style response to the SDGs. This is a certification mark provided to facilities that have been evaluated as having the following certification.
Examples of our hotel's SDGs initiatives:
・Introduction of environmentally friendly equipment and amenities
・Recycling/sales of recycled products
・Local production for local consumption
・Development of sustainable products with local companies
・Efforts to contribute to local society
・Safe reuse of water

Finally, I asked a female attendant by the elevator, and only then found out that the first-floor restaurant isn't open for dinner every night. It makes you wonder what the other staff members were doing..."
