AAnonymous UserI booked this hotel because of its advertised location 50 meters from the subway station, but it turned out to be over 500 meters from the station, all along construction-affected roads, and it was incredibly hot and sunny. There was a large construction site behind the hotel, and the windows couldn't be closed. It's just too new and nothing is fully completed yet. None of my Ctrip benefits were recognized – no breakfast, room upgrade, late check-out, fruit, or snacks. It felt like I couldn't stay there unless I booked through Huazhu. The problem is, even the early booking discount for gold members wasn't as good as the Ctrip price.

BBLUEeeeeeeeeeeI have to give a huge shout-out to the front desk staff! We arrived past 1 AM, and I honestly expected them to be a bit dismissive, but the front desk lady was smiling the whole time. Check-in was super quick, and she even upgraded us to a higher floor room, saying it would be quieter for a good night's sleep. Even more thoughtful, she and another staff member (from the 8th or 9th station, I think) knew we hadn't had dinner and recommended a noodle place that was still open nearby. Then, when we checked out the next day, they even offered us a bottle of water for the road. The service here is truly exceptional; I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in town!

Tucked away on Sujia Alley's ancient stone-paved streets, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, it's just steps from the bustling Wuyi Square and IFS. Yet, once you step inside, the tranquility of its Zen-inspired courtyard with black brick and grey tiles instantly creates a peaceful escape from the city's noise – truly a gem of quiet luxury.
The room's dark aesthetic perfectly matched my taste, and the goose down bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. They've got all the premium amenities: Dyson hairdryer, smart toilet, LELABO toiletries, and even fresh Baisha Ancient Well water delivered daily for drinking. Enjoying tea with the kung fu tea set really brought out the charm of Changsha.
The 24-hour butler service was incredibly thoughtful, handling everything from luggage to ordering Tea'sa Tea for me and even planning my itinerary. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks were all delivered directly to my room; the abalone breakfast and custom sparkling water were a delightful treat.
What surprised me most was the complimentary travel photoshoot. The photographer guided me through poses, and I received 9 retouched photos plus all the original shots, making for some truly high-end pictures! It's also within walking distance of popular spots like Tianbao Brothers and Tea'sa Tea. After a long day of exploring, returning to the hotel to relax on the terrace, watching the old city's grey tiles reflect the modern high-rises, made the experience absolutely perfect. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Changsha!

AAdora WhitneyIf you’re visiting Changsha and looking for a hotel that’s clean, modern, and full of thoughtful details, I honestly can’t recommend OKDAY Hotel (Wuyi Square South Gate Subway Station) enough. This place really surprised me, not because it’s fancy or over-the-top, but because every little detail feels designed with care.
Let’s start with what impressed me the most: the hygiene standards. I’ve stayed in many mid-range hotels across China, but OKDAY stands out. The remote controls were individually wrapped, which instantly made me feel reassured about their cleanliness. The bathroom even comes with a toilet seat cleaner, something I rarely see even in higher-end hotels. It’s these small touches that make a big difference, especially for someone who values hygiene as much as I do.
The room setup is modern, cozy, and smart. There’s a Xiaodu voice control system that lets you adjust lights, curtains, and even the TV with just your voice, a real upgrade for a hotel at this price point. On top of that, they even provide an Aircon remote so you can control the temperature without getting out of bed (lazy travelers like me, you’ll love this 😆).
Another bonus is there’s a mini fridge in the room, perfect for storing drinks, fruits, or late-night snacks. (They send me a dinner dessert to the room upon check in!) And if you’re staying a few days, they’ve got laundry service available right at the front desk. Just hand over your clothes and they’ll take care of the rest, no hassle at all.
The location is also a major win, it’s right next to the Wuyi Square South Gate Subway Station, making it super convenient to explore Changsha’s main attractions, grab local food, or head out shopping.
All in all, OKDAY Hotel has easily become one of my favorite hotels in Changsha. It’s clean, quiet, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. Whether you’re here for business, a weekend getaway, or just passing through, this place delivers way more than you’d expect. 🌙✨

AAnonymous UserThis guesthouse is exactly as pictured – no discrepancies at all. The log cabin-style decor is so warm and inviting, truly therapeutic. Every corner is spotless, and the bedding is incredibly soft and gentle on the skin, ensuring a wonderfully deep sleep. The host was incredibly thoughtful, sending detailed check-in instructions and local food recommendations in advance, even marking lesser-known local attractions. They also provided welcome fruit, a complimentary evening congee, and an amazing breakfast! The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk to Huangxing Metro Station, making getting around super convenient. The facilities are comprehensive and new, with super-fast Wi-Fi and a clear projector image – it felt even more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The value for money is absolutely incredible! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

SShangguanyan666Our trip to Changsha was absolutely wonderful! The itinerary was a bit packed, so choosing the right hotel was crucial. After sifting through various guides on Xiaohongshu, we settled on a place near Peiyuan Road on Line 2. I have to say, the location was incredibly convenient. It’s not far from Chaozong Street, Taiping Old Street, Wuyi Square, Orange Isle, and Du Fu Jiang Ge, yet it never felt noisy or crowded.
Strictly speaking, this is more of a guesthouse, but the stay was surprisingly impressive. The ambiance, tucked away in an alley, offered a serene escape from the hustle and bustle – very zen-like. You can tell the hotel is run with great care; the room facilities were comfortable, and the amenities chosen were all excellent. The front desk lady was super warm and thoughtful, even helping us with sightseeing and food recommendations. Plus, the hotel offers breakfast, late-night snacks, and afternoon tea – what a treat! There aren't many rooms, though, so it's great for off-peak visits, but probably hard to book during peak season. I’ve definitely saved it for future reference.
As for the itinerary, it was a two-day, one-night trip. Here’s a summary:
**Day 1:** Perfect for climbing Yuelu Mountain. Take the shuttle bus up from the East Gate. At the summit, there's a lovely 'Mountain Coffee Shop' with a great environment and prime location, ideal for photos and tea. If you're still feeling energetic, I recommend hiking down to the South Gate. It's a good workout, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way. At the South Gate, you can visit Yuelu Academy and Aiwan Pavilion. Coming out of the South Gate, you're right in Hunan University, with all its wonderful snacks and delicious food!
**Day 2:** Start by exploring the nearby Chaozong Street and Taiping Ancient Street. Then, walk across the Xiangjiang River Bridge to Orange Isle to soak in the river's gentle charm. Orange Isle is quite large, so a sightseeing bus is convenient for getting around. After visiting, head straight to Du Fu Jiang Ge, which is especially beautiful at night.

BBingyiI highly recommend Joya Hotel to anyone visiting Changsha! It's a chain, much like Home Inns, so you'll find them all over the city. The one we stayed at was newly renovated, and the service was superb. There's a subtle, pleasant scent when you walk into the lobby. Breakfast was quite generous, and they even offered cocktails 🍸 and mung bean porridge in the evenings. Plus, there are tons of great food options nearby. Thumbs up! 👍

__WeChat271721****The room view was absolutely stunning! We chose the 270-degree Xiangjiang River North View King Room. One side offered cityscapes, and the other provided a beautiful northern view of the river's end. It was especially beautiful at night. The room itself was quite spacious and very comfortable. The cleanliness was excellent, and having a smart speaker in the room was incredibly convenient. Plus, there was a robot delivery service for takeout.
The location is super convenient too. Pei Yuan Bridge subway station is right downstairs, and it's just one stop to Wuyi Square. And it's surprisingly quiet! There's a noodle shop right downstairs, and you can walk to many fantastic Hunan restaurants, like Lu Ge.
The front desk communication was seamless via WeChat, and they responded very quickly to requests like adjusting the heating or getting extra blankets. The cleaning staff were also very friendly.
The mini-bar items were complimentary, and there's a gym and self-service laundry available.
Definitely worth it!
They also have other room types that offer a direct 180-degree view of the opposite bank of the Xiangjiang River. For those who enjoy a bathtub, you can upgrade for an additional fee.

GGuest UserThe owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room rates are very reasonable, and the place is clean. They even offer airport drop-off service, which is a huge convenience! On my previous visit, my flight was significantly delayed, and I couldn't confirm my exact arrival time. Yet, the owner kindly waited up for me until 3 AM! This is my second stay here, and I'll definitely be back!
