Breakfast is average, and the service was okay; they even brought a complimentary fruit platter. Room facilities are a bit dated. The TV is an old Philips model. The remote control initially didn't work at all. I finally managed to turn the TV on manually, but then couldn't change channels. I ended up watching just one channel for a bit before it inexplicably froze. I'm not sure if it's an internet TV and the network was just laggy."

While it's only a few stops to Wuyi Square and IFS, it perfectly avoids the hustle and bustle of the city center. The best part is how incredibly convenient it is to get to Orange Isle and the East Gate of Yuelu Mountain. With kids, you don't have to wake up early and battle crowds just to see Chairman Mao's statue; the experience was fantastic. 2. **Room details had pleasant surprises:** Although it's an older five-star hotel, you can tell it's very well-maintained. The high-thread-count bedding was incredibly soft against the skin, and for someone with neck issues like me, I slept exceptionally soundly. The bathroom's wet and dry separation was excellent, with strong water pressure and instant hot water. Coming back after a day of exploring and taking a shower felt like a complete 'recharge.' 3. **Heartwarming service:** The front desk staff noticed we had a child and proactively offered kids' toiletries and a small toy.
