You won't find any unnecessary frills with us. Who needs a dusty room phone when you can text our front office via Facebook Messenger?! Not you? Then you've come to the right place! We got rid of the things you don’t need and concentrate on the things that really matter!
"First off, the location is excellent – right next to the main train station, about a 500-meter walk. It also seems to be part of the Radisson chain. You do need to inform the front desk if you want your room cleaned, but otherwise, the room itself is quite clean. The pillows are really soft too. Overall, I'd give it a good rating."
Situated in the southern part of the city, perfectly connected to main Vienna's attraction via subway and trains. Own car garage, 75 non smoking rooms with shower and hair dryer, cable flatscreen TV, free wifi and 20 spacious apartments.
"The location is pretty convenient; the nearest tram stop is just a seven-minute walk away. The front desk service was great, and although check-in isn't until 3 PM, you can store your luggage. However, the room facilities are quite basic. It's a good option if you just need it for one night."

Great
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is in a great location accessible by tram. As a Gold Elite member, I also received a complimentary upgrade from the base room to a junior suite as well as other welcome gifts. Breakfast was served à la carte, and the amenities were great.
One small critique is that reception and guest services were often too busy to answer calls, requiring us to go down to the lobby for assistance. But overall, we had a very delightful and comfortable stay.

Great
VVincent ValeranFrom the moment you step into the Philippe Starck–designed lobby, the hotel feels less like a place to stay and more like an immersive experience. The design is daring yet refined, blending contemporary art, dramatic lighting, and panoramic city views in a way that feels uniquely Viennese and unmistakably SO/.
The rooms are stunning: sleek, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Vienna like a living postcard. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, the bathrooms feel spa-like, and every detail—from the lighting controls to the curated minibar—speaks to both style and functionality.
Service is where SO/ Vienna truly shines. The staff are warm, intuitive, and genuinely eager to elevate your stay, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and personal care - A couple of named stays in mind : Claudia, Dally, etc…
Whether it’s a restaurant recommendation, a special request, or simply a welcoming smile, everything is handled with ease and grace.
The location is ideal—steps from the Danube Canal and within easy reach of the historic city center—making it perfect for both exploring Vienna and retreating into a chic urban sanctuary. And the rooftop restaurant and bar? Absolutely unforgettable. The views over the city, especially at sunset, combined with excellent cuisine and cocktails, create a highlight you’ll be talking about long after you leave.
SO/ Vienna is not just a hotel; it’s a statement. Perfect for travelers who appreciate design, comfort, and a touch of the extraordinary. I wouldn’t hesitate to return—and to recommend it wholeheartedly.

Great
JJohn Vincent (JV)3 days stay in Daniel, it’s my first time for this hotel. The room is nice, stylish on design. Toilet from the door seperate from the shower next to window side, not sure if many likes that. Bed looks good but not soft, pillows are made of feathers so a little bit picking, comforter is not intact. No mini bar option, no disposable slipper. The shower is great, good flow of water. I didn’t see any attendant check my room for 3 days which is sad.
Breakfast the same set up for 3 days, in restaurant staffs are not focussed, for 3x breakfast, 2x dinner, only the lady with curly hair is on point. Plants and ceiling are dusty. Bread is all day available.
Reception are friendly. Popcorn all day available for free. The entire hotel has not much facilities, I just thought above floors or roof top would be a good spot on the boat.
TTuanzixiaobeckyI specifically booked a room with a view, expecting to see the Belvedere Palace as advertised, but it turns out it's quite a distance away. It's also a 10-minute walk from the train station, which was particularly challenging on the second day when it snowed, as the path involves crossing several intersections.
Here's a food tip: if you cross the public garden opposite the hotel, there's a fantastic restaurant. We ate there two days in a row and didn't repeat a dish. Their grilled ribs and pan-fried salmon are definitely worth trying!
**Facilities:** The equipment is quite new, and both the bathroom and vanity area are spacious.
**Service:** They provide sparkling water, but you have to ask the front desk for disposable toothbrushes. We realized we didn't have any after returning from the opera, but they delivered them promptly after we called, which is what you'd expect from a star-rated hotel.
GGuest UserNice room! Good views and perfectly clean, with quality services. By the way, 57 lounge really deserves a look, the perfect place to see the whole wien.
AAnonymous UserThe tap water is clean.
I stayed at the Moons hotel during my trip to Vienna and was absolutely delighted! I'd like to share my experience.
**What I particularly liked:**
- **Location.** The hotel is conveniently located – major attractions are within walking distance or a short public transport ride away. There are cafes and shops nearby, which is very handy.
- **Cleanliness and comfort.** The rooms are impeccably clean, and the bed linen and towels are always fresh. The interior is modern and well-designed – you can feel the care taken for guests' comfort.
- **Service.** The staff is incredibly friendly and responsive. They answer any questions quickly, help with organizing excursions, and provide city recommendations.
- **Tap water.** I especially want to highlight the water quality – it's absolutely clean, with no strange smells or tastes. You can safely drink it straight from the tap, which was a big plus for me.
- **Breakfast.** The morning meal was delightful with its variety: fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, hot dishes – there's plenty to choose from.
**Conclusion:** The Moons hotel offers an excellent combination of comfort, service, and a great location. I recommend it for both leisure and business trips. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Vienna!
GGuest UserHotel stay was brilliant from the second we walked through the door! Reception staff very friendly and room was ready so was able to check in earlier than time stated. Room was amazing! We had a premium room 1308 which was a corner suite with 2 balconies. Was even better than I had expected. Hotel is directly opposite the Shonbrunn Palace gardens and we walked here every morning after breakfast. Breakfast was great, lots of hot and cold options. The underground is a short walk from hotel and within 10-15 mins you are in the centre of Vienna. So easy to get around on public transport.
AAnonymous UserIt was close to the station and easy to walk around, even in the early morning and at night as it wasn't too dark. There was a Christmas market nearby 🎅
The bed was a loft type, so climbing up to the second floor was a bit of a struggle, but the toilet and shower were in a separate room and very clean.
It's directly accessible from the airport, so I recommend staying there on days when you're going to or from the airport.
There was a deposit listed, but it wasn't charged.
You can leave your luggage before check-in, and I was a little worried when they let me into a room with the door left open, but it was properly locked when I checked in, and there was a system in place to unlock it by asking the hotel staff.
VVerified Member🏨🚇🥐🧼🏙️ I think the hotel is in a very well-connected area. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the main bus and train terminal and just a short metro ride into Old Town for all your sightseeing needs.
The room was spacious with solid housekeeping and a clean, well-kept bathroom. No complaints regarding cleanliness — everything was taken care of. One thing to note is that the hotel is massive. We were given the very last room at the end of a long corridor, which meant it took nearly five minutes to walk to the elevator. So when you check in, I recommend asking for a room closer to the elevator, otherwise it can be a bit of a hassle going back and forth.
Something that left a bad taste was only being told at checkout that breakfast would be charged as an extra. My honest tip is that if you do decide to have breakfast, just don’t mention it. With the number of guests they manage, it’s unlikely they’ll track who actually showed up at the buffet. The breakfast itself was average — your typical hotel spread. The eggs tasted a bit off, but I made it work with multiple cappuccinos from the machine, plus some sausages and toast to fill up.
Overall, nothing fancy, but probably great value considering how expensive Vienna can be. Most importantly, the hotel is very well connected to public transit, with a metro station just a five-minute walk away. That line has frequent trains to and from Old Town, which made sightseeing super convenient.
I’ll probably stay here again, though I don’t think the breakfast is worth the price, and I do wish they had been more upfront about the cost from the beginning.

XXinglinccOn a motorcycle trip through Europe, I passed through Vienna and found a hotel that offered great value for money. Since I was traveling solo, I kept things simple. The cleanliness was good, and the service was exceptionally friendly! The front desk staff spoke fluent English and, surprisingly, even quite a bit of Chinese, which made them incredibly welcoming! I wasn't aware the hotel had parking, so my motorcycle unfortunately got a ticket. The front desk was incredibly helpful and enthusiastically guided me on how to deal with it. A huge thank you to them! There's no air conditioning, but they provided a portable air cooler. It was a little noisy, but it definitely kept the room cool!
