Suzhou Hotels with Bars

The room was spacious and the kids loved it! The overall hotel environment and design are very elegant and comfortable. The hotel staff were all very warm and attentive. The location is excellent, right by Jinji Lake, and it's beautiful when lit up at night. The two Michelin-starred restaurants at the hotel lived up to their reputation, with very authentic flavors. I particularly loved the Suzhou-style noodles. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

I stayed here last night and the experience was so nice I want to leave a review straight away. The hotel is located down a traditional lane and so convinient to walk to 平江路. The location is quiet, and the staff are warm and welcoming. I forgot to bring contact lenses solution and their wonder staff 西西 helped me to order a bottle to be delivered within 30minutes. The hotel offers a complementary photo shoot and she is also a talented photographer. The room was large and clean, and good quality toiletries. I had a long journey getting here and the bed was so comfortable I fell asleep for 12 hours. The hotel is pet friendly and very photogenic. I’d definitely stay here again.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this unique, niche hotel. The space is incredibly well-designed. The room had a cozy, enveloping feel that made me feel very secure. As for the public areas, they were absolutely stunning – every corner was picture-perfect and exuded a relaxed vibe. The breakfast was semi-buffet style, and the variety catered to everyone, from children to seniors, and even those with diabetes (they had steamed sweet potatoes and corn). Both Western and Chinese options were available. My favorites were the curry with naan and the Eggs Benedict – truly delicious! The tableware was also exquisite, making it easy to snap great photos. The coffee was better than what you'd find at many five-star hotels. The only slight downside was that the baristas didn't seem to do latte art (but that's not a big deal). There was an ample supply of tissues in the room, and their quality was excellent, comparable to high-end brands like Tempo. (+1 point) The bath amenities had a pleasant scent, almost like a subtle, youthful body fragrance. (+2 points) The lighting was set to be very warm and inviting, neither harsh nor too dim. (+3 points) The bedding was excellent, and the pillows were soft. It was very quiet at night. (+4 points) They provided a Laifen hairdryer, and the toilet seat was heated, with disposable toilet seat covers provided daily. (+5 points) There were four bottles of water in the room, two of which were Voss. (+6, +7, +8 points) The hotel has its own laundry room with two washers and two dryers, accessible from the coffee shop. The drinks at this coffee shop were delicious and Instagram-worthy. I didn't try the cakes, but they all looked incredibly tempting. The staff uniforms were very stylish. They weren't obsequious but full of vitality and youthful energy, which naturally uplifted my mood. There's also a free parking lot within a 5-minute walk to the hotel. Upon checkout, they gave us bread as a gift. The highlight was that this bread was incredibly tasty, and even the packaging was beautiful, demonstrating great attention to emotional value. My only minor complaint is that the staff training wasn't entirely polished. They were very cautious and eager to please guests, but they still lacked some practical experience. However, given their pleasant appearances, I'm willing to be understanding.

The room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

The room is very clean, not crowded, with a collection of patterns and style. The windows are large and the view is good. There is a children's playground on the first floor of Building 2, which the children like. The breakfast is rich. Bird watching and scenic spot tickets are given, which is very cost-effective. Bird watching is worth going. The scenic spot rocking boat is worth a ride, 30 yuan/person. There are few people on the rainy Dragon Boat Festival, which is not bad. The hotel staff is enthusiastic. 🅿️ The parking lot is large and there is no parking fee. I will choose to stay in Manxinfu next time. Thank you for the careful and meticulous service of the hotel staff this time. This time, thanks to Trip.com's ”One Room, One City” campaign, I brought my family dog to experience the Four Seasons Suzhou. I communicated with the hotel many times in advance, and I'd like to thank the Ctrip Black Diamond customer service team—the service was meticulous, attentive, and responsive to every request. The check-in process was as smooth as silk. Two staff members came out to welcome us and had a pet stroller ready. In the parking lot, there was a staff member every 50 meters to guide the way, which was very thoughtful. The front desk staff spoke in gentle tones with some pleasant small talk that immediately put us in a good mood. We were assigned a room closest to the pet activity center—full marks for attention to detail. Needless to say, the hotel facilities are top-notch; not a single spot feels cheap. The hotel is gorgeous, and the Suzhou-style gardens live up to their reputation. Strolling around and taking in the scenery is delightful whether in the morning or evening. There was a small hiccup: the room's air conditioner made an intermittent strange noise. While it didn't really bother humans, our dog is a bit sensitive and would bark at it. After we reported the issue, the Guest Relations Manager, Jarven, handled it very swiftly. Within 15 minutes, we were relocated and settled into a suite right next door. The staff members were extremely professional. (The only minor flaws: the staff member responsible for moving our pet supplies swiped their own key card to open our door even though the door was already closed, without waiting for me to open it. Also, when asking staff for some hotel information along the way, not everyone knew the exact details, so training could be slightly improved in this area.) Breakfast: Above average. The selection was a bit limited, but the taste was acceptable. Restaurant: Limited options and average reviews online, so we didn't try it. Gym and Pool: Well-equipped facilities in a beautiful environment. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—arguably one of the best Four Seasons hotels I've stayed at in recent years.

This National Day, I specifically chose Hotel Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal. After staying here, I realized it's not just about the 'stunning views from above,' but also the fascinating details. The hotel's design draws inspiration from the 'Prosperous Suzhou' painting. Entering from the first floor is like passing through a bridge arch, instantly evoking the feel of a Jiangnan water town. Elements of the 'Prosperous Suzhou' painting are also found in the elevators, leading all the way up to the 46th-floor lobby, where the view dramatically opens up. In the lobby, you can also spot Suzhou elements like the Hanshan Temple bronze bell and Suzhou embroidery ladies. Even the staff greet you with 'Na Hao' in Suzhou dialect, adding a sense of ritual. The rooms also hold little surprises like bonsai trees, birdcages, and garden murals. Staying here doesn't feel like a typical hotel; it's more like stepping into a modern-day Suzhou home. Anyone who appreciates Suzhou culture will find a strong connection here. The switchboard operator, Yuki, is also always online to assist.

Traveling with our family of three, we drove from Shanghai and arrived in just over an hour. The hotel has a strong Japanese onsen vibe with genuine natural hot springs, and it's well-equipped for kids. Shaxi Ancient Town is within walking distance, offering a one-stop experience of hot springs, kid-friendly activities, and exploring the ancient town. We booked a private hot spring, and the open-air bamboo forest private bath was picturesque, perfect for those who prefer privacy over public baths or for shy children. Our family room was spacious, allowing ample room for our child to play. The entire room had a natural wood, Japanese-style decor, featuring a Dyson hairdryer and a smart toilet. It was meticulously cleaned and odorless. Some room types even come with a small courtyard, and the rooms are quiet with good soundproofing. Overall, the value for money is excellent, making it a great hot spring destination for repeat visits with kids.

Stayed at this homestay for 3 nights in July which is peak season for summer domestic travel in China. The rooms are comfortable and had all the amenities you’d expect of a 4 star hotel - comfortable beds, lounging area, balcony, TV, good toiletries, hair dryer. Other positives were very friendly service staff, hearty breakfast from the cafe with is on the same premise. There’s also local restaurants nearby to dine at which are not bad, just 5-10 mins walk down the road. I also enjoyed waking up to run across the bridge which has a great sunrise view. A lot of tourists visit the cafe for the sunset views. The hotel staff can do room service and bring food ordered from the cafe to your room if requested. Note though that location wise it is not as close to other cafes and stuff. You’ll need to travel a fair bit if you want to venture and do other things. I wanted a peaceful retreat with a good view but nearer to mainland (compared to the main 西山岛） so this worked for me. I stayed in 3 different rooms (Rm 1,4,5) for my 3 nights as I had asked for a room with a view but was initially assigned one that was completely blocked by trees. In trying to accommodate my request I ended up having different rooms (to no fault of the staff and property) each night. There are 8 ‘normal rooms’ and one suite room that is round and more suited for honeymoon/romantic occasions. Rooms 3,4,5,6 are the ones with the better view. Room 1 (my first room) has a completely blocked view which is a waste staying by the lake. Rooms 4 and 5 have the best view. Note also that rm 1 and 4 have a skylight that cannot be blocked so by 5 am your room is gonna be bright although they do give you eye shades to help. There is also no laundry facilities on site. Only additional feedback to the property would be that they could consider a discount for guests to dine at the cafe, that could encourage guests to have more meals there. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for an escape for the buzz and want a tranquil place to rest!

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.
