We visited here in July for the Grand Prix so we just needed a base for 2 adults. This place had 24hr check in and was a 10min walk to the train station so it ticked those boxes! There is security on the door at night as the hotel is in a rough part of town but within a 5min walk, you are close to the Port which is gorgeous so it's a good location for exploring. The room was large and cool with a balcony, there was a definite smell from the drains so if you're sensitive to smells then it might not be the one for you but the kitchenette is large and well stocked with a Nespresso so that was nice. They provide a breakfast board for 9 euros which covered all the bases and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and you get a balcony (it overlooks some apartments but it's nice to have somewhere to hang wet towels etc). I'd recommend staying here if you're looking for a base to eat/sleep. It's not luxury but it had everything we needed for a short stay in 38c heat!

Although our stay was fine, we had a very bad experience. My brother-in-law forgot his tablet in his room. He had left it on the floor near the wall and in the morning upon drawing the curtains open the tablet was hidden behind so he didn't see it. Arriving in our next hotel destination (Villeneuve-Loubet) he realized the tablet was left in Toyoko-Inn. He immediately called the hotel and the security guy told him no tablet was found. He went to personally check the room that happened to be empty as no guest was in that room that night. He then told my brother-in-law he didn't find anything. We called the hotel again the following day and we got the same answer. We sent an e-mail to the hotel manager only to get the same answer. Since there was no other guest in that room it seems that only people from the hotel entered it. We can not believe a tablet can vanish without a human intervention so we suspect that somebody from the hotel found it but didn't deliver it to the reception. This matter ruined the remaining days of our vacation and left a bitter taste in our mouths. I sent a complaint to the Tourism Office in M****illes but they couldn't answer me as they are on public holidays! So, if you stay in that hotel double and triple check your room before you leave because if something valuable is forgotten it's more than certain it won't be recovered or compensated.

InterContinental Marseille-Hôtel Dieu is a luxury hotel located in Marseille’s historic Panier district. Overlooking the Vieux Port, our hotel’s massive staircases and magnificent terraces bear witness to the former statues of the building, an 18th century structure inaugurated by Napoleon III. This was a lovely hotel to stay at. I booked a room with a large terrace overlooking the port and the view was fantastic. I could have sat all day watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The room was spacious and well kept. The employees were very nice and helpful even as I practiced my French on them. The breakfast was quite special. It is served in a beautiful , light-filled room, again, with views of the port. You could sit inside or outside and the weather was beautiful while I was there in early June. The breakfast had many many choices, breads of all kinds, hot choices (such as bacon, eggs, sausages, petite potatoes, vegetables), cold cuts, many cheeses, several dessert options also. Really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and wish I had stayed longer.

First, the hotel is just outside the station- less than 2 minutes walk. second, the entry into the hotel is as seen in the pix. little walk through and people sitting and enjoying the silence. lobby is friendly and welcoming. there is restaurant inside with lively TV/music. receptionists are welcoming and checkin was fast. nice corridors on the 2nd floor and the room for three was spacious. a sofa cum bed was comfortable. window overlooking the parking lot. gives privacy. from the hotel one can take a metro ticket 5.20 euros for 24 hours and go anywhere. the breakfast is part in restaurant and outdoors - the latter is heavenly. little fruit and vegetable plants. very good fair- detox water, croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, tea, coffee, fresh orange juice you can make for self,...good for vegetarians too. would recommend to everyone. only positives for this hotel and it is well priced. in night one can jsut sit in open and enjoy the silence. Go for it.

This is a really friendly hotel with great service and attitude. Cleanliness is spotless. Very well located close to the old port and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Comfortable rooms. My only point would be that they need more electrical sockets in the bedrooms nowadays but that is a minor omission.

Nice hotel. Excellent location, because it is 2 minutes from the station. The room was quite spacious, with a shower and a soft bed, which was what we needed. Very kind staff. When we visit Marseille again for short stay, it will be our choice again

Good quality bedding, beautiful view and location. The breakfast is very rich and there is nothing missing. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. Public transportation is right in front of the hotel, so you can move around as much as you want. The only downside this year is the swimming pool, which really has many shortcomings. They should be a little more respectful for hotel customers, especially cleaner. Strongly leave next year! ! ! ! !

The hotel was quiet (provided your window closes well...), But the darkening curtains were old, and see through. They really provide the minimum Accor benefits for a gold/platinum/diamond member. No way to get a welcome drink for the two occupants of the room, and no gift as a benefit. Moreover it is the only hotel in the town that does not participate in the free breakfast at weekend benefit. Please take that into account. It is not advertised anywhere and we were told that we had to check it for ourselves on Accor website. The hotel takes a lot of advantages by using the name Mercure and attracts status members but they do not take this responsibility seriously and give the benefits as they see fit. The customer is not in a position to negotiate what benefits they want, so why is it so easy for a hotel to opt out?

Stayed here for one night prior to joining a cruise ship. Greeting at reception was great, room was spacious and we had a travel cot ready for us. Lunch was great and the service was impeccable. Disappointed the pool was closed and we were unable to use Sofitel pool as our child was under 7! Aircon was turned to heat only as it was winter and the room was stuffing so we were given a big industrial metal fan which worked a treat as we need to keep the room cool for the little one. Breakfast was a good selection, lots of choice and plenty for all dietary requirements. Would happily stay again, just when the pool is open.

GGuest UserStayed at Residhome M****ille Joliette for four nights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My room faced a quiet street and had all the necessary kitchenette facilities. Overall the property was clean and well-managed. I felt safe walking around in the neighborhood of the hotel. The fascinating Panier district is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel, and I was able to stroll around in the district many times while staying here. The Old Port is about twenty minutes away by foot. There is a subway stop around the corner that gets you to the main train station in about five minutes. There was also a nice esplanade a few blocks from the hotel where you have a nice view of the sunset over the sea. There were many restaurants nearby and a major supermarket about five minutes walk from the hotel. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Very Good
The standard double rooms are very comfortable and large. My room had a balcony, and I assume all the rooms had one, if not a terrace for the more expensive rooms. The swimming pool area is very nice and smokers can retreat separately, with extra chairs and in the shade. The food is in my opinion a bit expensive, but the quality is excellent...maybe 15 or 20% less on the bill would be more reasonable. The hotel is about 10 minutes walking distance from the beaches and beach side restaurants, but if you want a simple expresso, you can't have it at the counter...you must sit at a table (and pay more than what a coffee should cost). I strongly recommend the Equinoxe Brasserie if you want a very good meal, with good but limited choices on the menu (mangeznotez.com). Stay away from the pizza restaurants, as they are nothing like the original pizzerias... Air conditioning is good, but sometimes hard to control, especially if your room faces the sun all day long.

卢卢Good location, in a safe area in Marseille, convenient public transportation, public transportation is more than 20 minutes from the train station, not far from the bus and subway to Laogang or other attractions.
Cost-effective, the room is normal, and there is also a small kitchen. Although it is useless, the kitchen utensils look complete, and it is no problem to make a simple meal.
Breakfast was not eaten at the hotel, there is a bakery nearby fresh bread juice coffee
A travel agency booked this for me for 1 night after disembarking a cruise. What a lovely place! Staff so wonderful and helpful, gave me a map highlighting areas to visit. It’s only a 5 minute walk from some great spots. Had the pool to myself it was lovely. Shame the steam room wasn’t working though. Breakfast was great and very pretty courtyard. Sat having a coffee watching the fish very relaxing! And nice to see all the rugby World Cup flags everywhere 😀 Would highly recommend.

GGuest UserI stayed last year during the Covid-19 period, it was more complicated with meal trays to eat in the room as well as breakfast. Currently I find the hotel welcoming staff with a smile despite the mask and this breakfast in the room is great with lots of choice! What a shame not to find a basket of oranges with a juice extractor. Clean hotel, nice room with all the necessary towels, shower gel, etc. Good bedding. Quiet places and free parking with gate closed at night, opening possible! I will definitely come back for future training! Good continuation and see you soon.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August. Pros - the location is amazing - literally 14mins drive to Marseille. The car park is very spacious and free to use. The pool is very well maintained, clean and nice to use, pool towels provided from reception free of charge to use and return. The staff at breakfast are very friendly and the range is quite nice. Cons - it took 9 days from us reporting the fridge in our room not working for them bringing us one from a different room. The air conditioning barely works and the room was so warm! The staff on reception speak very limited English so often it is difficult to communicate if there are any issues. Although the breakfast provided is quite nice, it is poorly managed as things often run out (juice, bread, fruit) and either not topped up or often warm. The room we stayed in was clean but very old looking and not the typical Novotel style you would expect. The sink leaked our entire stay, often towels and toilet rolls were not replenished by the cleaning staff.

GGuest UserRecently stayed here at 50Euro per night, The hotel is located a stone's throw away from Vieux-Port in a side street, hence giving you access to town centre, the metro. With a tiny and almost hidden entrance the hotel, its easy to miss. From the rooms you can hear the hustle and bustle even at night however I like this kind of sound and slept with the windows open. The staff were absolutely fantastic (thanks to the 2 gentlemen and 1 lady) and was manned 24 hours per day. The rooms itself are small and quite basic, and not suited to families, but for single or couples looking for a place to stay. You would consider this a budget hotel without any luxuries at 50 Euro at night, id say its fair value. Thanks for the great stay, staff and location made it great
