I booked a a night within the hotel on Halloween as we had booked a walking ghost tour within the city. It was a bit of a walk down to the Royal mile taking about 25 mins but as it was dry it was ok. The hotel was fantastic, the reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The entrance lobby was warm and clean, very inviting. All of the corridors were very well maintained, clean and beautifully decorated. Our room was very spacious with a queen sized bed, seating area and a good sized bathroom. The room again was nicely decorated and well equipped. Due to the restrictions the hotel restaurant was closed but we were allowed to order food into the hotel and the receptionist even pointed us in the direction of local shops. I would recommend the hotel and will most probably stay again.
The hotel is located just outside the historic village of North Queensferry, set on the picturesque north shore of the River Forth and within walking distance from the Iconic Forth Bridges.
The Hotel is a fantastic base not only for corporate guests but it is also very popular with leisure guests looking to explore Scotland's historical UNESCO World Heritage Site the Forth Bridge. With free car parking facilities, accessible road/rail links, and spectacular views from The Shore Grill, our onsite restaurant, the hotel offers a little something for everyone.
With Edinburgh less than 15 miles away and St Andrews/Dundee only 35 miles east from the hotel, it is an excellent base for Golf lovers looking to explore and experience Scotland's finest golf courses as well as take in the sights of the capital city.

Everything is good, spacious and clean, but the location is a bit far from the city. It costs 6.5 pounds per person per day to take the yellow bus to Prince Street. Since I brought my children with me, I needed to buy breakfast separately, which cost 12 pounds per meal. It is far worse than Chinese breakfast, with few varieties and unpalatable, which is consistent with the characteristics of British food being unpalatable
The InterContinental Edinburgh The George has been welcoming hotel guests since 1881. At its heart are five listed Georgian townhouses, built in 1775 as homes for Edinburgh's most prosperous citizens. Today, The InterContinental Edinburgh The George offers all the luxuries of an InterContinental life in the heart of the Scottish capital. Explore our city's stunning architecture, the iconic Edinburgh Castle and the cobbled streets of the Royal Mile, just moments away from our charming hotel.

This was our second time at this hotel and we stayed for almost a week. You can't beat the location on George Street, right downtown, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The king bed had a good mattress and pillows. There is a safe. They seem to have made upgrades since our last pre-covid stay, including air-conditioning in (all?) rooms. As you would expect in a big city, the rooms are quite small and the hotel is not exactly quiet; also depending on where your room faces. We were right by the elevator, which I generally don't like. I wonder if it's because we booked through our credit card and not direct. It seems there is sometimes a ”penalty'. The rooms are supplied daily with water, delicious cookies and snacks. You can make individual cups of drip coffee in a filter, which is much better than instant coffee but not as good as a Nespresso, IMHO. We had breakfast included and the Printing Press is just wonderful, for breakfast, any meal and later evening cocktails and whiskey. The Burr & Co is a coffee shop, also right next door, with tables outside. Love that place. The hotel has great service. We lost a suitcase and got daily support in checking on the status and changing the address on the delivery. There seemed to be a shortage on hair conditioner and we didn't have a sign for do-not-disturb the first day and got woken at 8 AM, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel stay. We expect to be back.

Well, what a cheerful and helpful reception staff, indeed all staff happy and enjoying the job! Great to see. 1 night stop but the hotel was cool trendy and modern. Spotless clean, quiet rooms gave a great night sleep in a comfy large bed. Shower, monsoon style, washed the dreams away and off to a decent breakfast (sausage a touch bland). Subterranean swimming and spa looked fantastic and the bar was great with quirky pool cue seating. Car park tight and only 15 slots so not easy. Other than that, yes I would come back.

Great location. Sadly there were construction outside the hotel that effected the noise level inside the hotel.

Three people stay in one room, and the sofa bed can be turned into a single bed. It is a 12-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle, the church, the royal mile, and the library, and there are shops along the way. The hotel breakfast is a standard British breakfast, with sausages, eggs, ham, bread, cheese, cereal and fruit. The hotel also provides free self-service washing machines and dryers, but you need to queue up to use them. The room has a microwave and dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a safe. There is a Malaysian restaurant next door. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is home to the Terrace Restaurant and Garden, where guests can take in a piece of nature in the city. Additionally, showing off Scotland's whisky scene, The Nook, showcases boutique cocktails and an extensive whisky menu.

All what is left of this place is past glory. The rooms are old-school, but not in the “fancy hotel of the previous century” way - it’s just creepy. Many comments here talk about small rooms. Ours was too big for the furniture that was in it. Unsettling almost. The thing that bothered me most was noise. All night long we heard squealing pipes and buzzing sounds in our room. This is a rather expensive hotel, but even a cheap one should try to offer restful nights. I personally liked the breakfast. It’s true that only scrambled eggs are served at the buffet, but you can ask for fried, poached, … as well. The staff was friendly. No complaints about the hygiene either. I would however not recommend this place.

Very nice and modern hotel in the center of the city and close to the convention center. We stayed in much bigger since it was intended for disabled individuals. Very good breakfast included. Staff was wonderful in the front desk as well as the restaurant. The front desk staff gave us great ideas for places to visit as well as great restaurant recommendations. At the restaurant in the morning staff was kind and meeting all requests to the best of their abilities and in the being making recommendations for drinks, beers and whisky. The room was ample, clean and modern. Overall a great place to stay in Edinburgh.

Great location right in town centre. Staff always helpful and polite. Rooms a good size, nice modern and stylish. Bathrooms great size and had bath and shower. Spa is also nice if a little pricey for use of the outside hydro pool but added to our experience. Concierge great at arranging taxis and helping with luggage. Breakfast was quality and well worth the money with Al a carte and buffet both included no need to choose. Set us up for the day. Would recommend worth every penny made our Edinburgh experience very memorable.

After staying in a number of hotels in Edinburgh, Novotel Edinburgh Park is definitely of highest quality in this price range. The location is perfect if you are working outside of the city but want to still experience the city centre at night. Edinburgh Park train station and tram stop are very close to the hotel with frequent services to neighbouring towns and Waverley station (city centre). The train is quickest to Waverley at only 9 mins and costs as little as £2.70 at super off peak times for a return ticket. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. There are hundreds of channels on the 55” TVs. The beds are comfy and there is a temperature regulator fan (not air conditioning). The bathrooms are clean and well furnished. Executive rooms get some more toiletries than standard rooms. Some rooms have baths and some have stand-in showers. (Maybe you can note your preference when booking) Breakfast is definitely worth paying for. There’s a huge selection of food options, something for everyone. Hot food and continental style breakfast is offered and is a buffet style. The restaurant is large but can be very busy in the evenings. Car parking is offered at a member rate (Accor ALL account holders) of £6 per day. I would rate the hotel very highly, after staying here a number of times over the past few months and with more bookings in the not so distant future. I look forward to returning!

GGuest UserGreat place to stay when visiting central Edinburgh whether on business or pleasure. Rooms are fully functional with a small kitchenette, all mod cons and a very modern feel to them. All impeccably clean and fresh. There is no air con in the rooms but a Dan in the room if needed. Great place to have a coffee and pastry in the morning and lots of space to work if needed. Great value
GGuest UserThe hotel is fab the staff are great and cannot do more for you , lovely touches provided by guest relations concierge & reception staff are so lovely , catering & bar staff great , the room was lovely , great shower and local produce in rooms such as the coffee etc , social hour is a nice touch and breakfast was great , i would stay here again we had a lovely stay ... however the spa lets it down This was a special birthday suprise for my other half i booked the spa for treatments for us . We were late on arrival due to rail strikes and i missed my spa appointment which is fine i expect that if you are not on time. My partner was still able to recieve his treatment however we were provided with no towels robes or slippers , no info regarding lockers . The massuise gave my partner a robe and was suprised one was not already provided for him after he had to walk around after getting changed into swimwear .The water machine in the ladies changing room did not work the only water available was from a tap in the toilet not ideal as the next water machine was in the lobby opposite the gym , especially not ideal if u have no robe or slippers or towel to go out to it . So if you are are a lady there is no drinking water available , very undignified !! I was not shown to the relaxation room and couldnt go in even if i wanted to as i had no towel or robe . My partner told me the mens changing room stank of urine from a pipe . The staff were not very helpfull or attentive and the service at the spa does not reflect the service or same level of standard as the rest of the hotel . I have had better service at a local lesuire centre and would not use this ”spa” again . My partner and I often use spas and this was by far the worst spa expeirience dissapointing as it was his birthday. I could maybe understand if it was busy but it wasnt .
GGuest UserI've never stayed in a hostel before, let alone in a former jail revamped as one ! Besides the gimmick, the Court is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Edinburgh, whether on a budget or not : fantastic location near the St Giles cathedral (where city tours seemingly start from), super friendly staff and surprisingly clean amenities (first time experience in a hostel so I didn't know what to expect quite frankly). Would definitely recommend !

Yy619qThe location of the hotel is a bit far from the urban area. For those who like to play golf, this hotel is good, convenient, cheap to play, and you can rent clubs. The hotel room is not big and clean, and the waiters are friendly. You can only eat in the restaurant if you make an appointment in advance. You can order directly in the bar without making an appointment. It's good to enjoy the beautiful scenery while drinking beer.

GGuest UserOf all the places we stayed during our two week tour of Scotland this was definitely our least favorite. The toilet in our room barely functioned...you had to vigorously pump the handle repeatedly to get it to flush. When we called to report the problem the hotel told us the plumber had installed the plumbing upside down in our room so there was nothing they could do. The beds were very uncomfortable. The hotel had hints of a previous grandeur, but it was in need of some serious renovations. Some of our fellow tour mates even reported finding mold in their room. Not surprising. While we were there it was raining and as we were sitting in one of the main parlors we noticed water pouring down from the ceiling near one of the grand front windows. Breakfast was very disappointing as well. The food was so so at best and the service was lackluster. The location wasn't all that great too. Nice quiet neighborhood street but it was a fair walk to anything. On a positive note, the staff who worked the reception desk were friendly. After our tour was over, even though we were staying on in Edinburgh, we made the wise decision to more to another hotel.
GGuest UserFirst time I’ve stayed here in a while and have to say it was a much better stay. Rooms had been modernised and mind had a walk in shower rather than a tiny bath , not sure if all rooms are updated but if you ask for walk in shower you will get a new room Location. Is good aside from a tricky junction outside where if travelling east it’s more awkward, nearly had a taxi come into the side of me. Retail park across the road Nice bar with some food options
GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel for 7 days. During that time the staff was so gracious and helpful. One person in particular stands out. David Brown, one of the concierge was EXTREMELY helpful with whatever we needed....as an example, the day we were leaving on the train from Waverly the weather was very stormy. We had heard that some trains might be cancelled. David took the time to look up the issues with the trains and was very reassuring that since we were headed south we would be okay. I wanted to thank him publicly for his very kind assistance during our visit. THANK YOU DAVID!

Very Good
CCHENGNANThis hotel is so good, why is the rating so low? The hotel has more than 200 years of history, although there is no elevator, but the equipment in the room is very advanced, the toiletries are all L'Occitane, especially mentioning that the bedside table has a radio that has been placed in the light classic is very soothing, lying down without having to watch TV like this The music is very comfortable. Breakfast bread milk fruit is self-help, other such as bacon sausage eggs can be cooked, especially Amway fried poached eggs super delicious. In the UK, if you go out to eat breakfast or lunch, you will have more than 100 pieces. The price is very high, and the price will be high. I will stay here next time~
GGuest UserWe just needed somewhere to sleep for 1 night and it provided exactly that. I had read the reviews but wasn't fussed as was the cheapest hotel room we could find in all of Edinburgh. Room was clean. Only 1 pillow so that was uncomfortable though. Bathroom looked recently refurbished. Furniture in the bedroom was tired. But it did the job for 1 night at a very cheap price. Tea/coffee etc available in the room. We knew we would be arriving late at night as flight was delayed, I called the hotel number in advance and explained, lady on the phone was very pleasant and gave me the code for the door and told me which room we would be in. Entered the hotel without any trouble at all.
