Exceeded my expectations! The room was clean and tidy. The staff was very professional. A special shout-out to the slightly chubby male receptionist on the evening shift of the 21st. My child had a toothache at night and needed salt and ice, and he immediately had them delivered. I'm truly grateful for his excellent and thoughtful service. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time. The location is easy to find and convenient for getting around.

I wasn't going to leave a review, but the concierge really wanted some feedback, so here it is. First, let's talk about the service. On the morning of check-in, a concierge contacted me and added me on WeChat, asking about any special requests for check-in or if I had children. They even informed me at 12 PM that I could check in. During the busy National Day holiday, being able to check in early was quite satisfying. The staff were all very enthusiastic. Whenever we made eye contact, they would greet me and ask if I needed any help. Since it was National Day and the hotel was fully booked, breakfast the next day was very crowded, but the staff were quick to resolve any issues that arose. Now, about the accommodation. It was a standard room, quite comfortable and spacious. The bedding was cozy, and the soundproofing was excellent – once the door was closed, I couldn't hear any noise from the hallway, which is worth mentioning. Also, it was very convenient for luggage storage, shuttle bus service, hot springs, and visiting the Great Wall. Finally, one more thing! On the afternoon of my check-in day, after climbing the Great Wall, I was napping when I heard the doorbell. After the second ring, I responded and was about to get up. The subsequent rings were very urgent. By the time I reached the door, it had already been opened by the concierge... Luckily, I had engaged the chain lock on the inside, so it wasn't fully opened. She said she was delivering water. I was very surprised by her unauthorized entry. She claimed she rang the doorbell, thought no one was inside, and then opened it, offering a verbal apology. I was groggy from sleep at the time and didn't say much else. I originally didn't want to comment on this, but the concierge messaged me on WeChat hoping for a five-star review, but frankly, I can't give five stars for this... I've never encountered someone opening my door without permission, especially after such urgent ringing... What if the guest was showering? Overall, the hotel is quite good, and it would be even better to visit during off-peak times when it's cheaper.

Had a two-day trip to Yanqi Lake and chose Yanqi Hotel, Beijing. The hotel environment is peaceful, elegant, and full of luxury. From the lobby to the outdoor grounds, every step offers a picturesque view—super photogenic! In the evening, there's a musical fountain, and it's nice, quiet, and not crowded. The kids' playground, spa, gym, and swimming pool were all open and fully operational. The room was spacious and spotless, with very comfortable bedding that gave us a wonderful night's sleep. We tried both the Chinese and Western dining options; the food tasted great with a wide variety to choose from. The staff were warm, attentive, and thoughtful—special thanks to Bingao! A perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city to unwind and relax on vacation. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay. Highly recommended and definitely worth a return visit!

I had a great overall stay at the Beijing Gubei Water Town Hotel. It's located right near the scenic area entrance, making it very convenient to explore the water town and do the night tour of the Great Wall. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and check-in was quick and efficient. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding and decent soundproofing, allowing us to get a great night's rest after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast offered a good variety of tasty Chinese and Western options. The hotel itself has a wonderful resort-like vibe and is wonderfully quiet and relaxing at night. The only minor downside was that the elevators took a little while during peak hours, but it wasn't a big deal. Considering the location, service, cleanliness, and comfort, it offers great value for money. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Gubei Water Town.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel for my girlfriend’s surprise birthday. The hotel kindly accommodated my request for a high floor, and we were given a room with an amazing view. They also decorated the room and provided a complimentary birthday cake, which was a lovely touch and genuinely helped make the surprise special. However, there were several issues that I feel are important to mention, particularly when staying at a five star hotel. My expectation was for the room to be close to perfect, but there were several visible stains on the walls and carpet, as well as dirty windows. These are details that I would not expect to see at a five star property and, in my opinion, should have been addressed before the room was given to guests. We were also disappointed to discover that some of the restaurants, including Views Restaurant and Kempi Deli, were closed despite still being listed on the hotel’s website. We had specifically looked forward to visiting these restaurants, so it would have been helpful if the website information had been updated. Another disappointment was the jacuzzi being closed. We had been looking forward to using it during our stay, but only the lap swimming pool was available. We also visited Brewery@Kempinski, which itself was nice. Unfortunately, the behaviour of some of the staff made us extremely uncomfortable. I understand that we are foreigners and may naturally attract some attention, but repeatedly staring at us, making comments and then giggling among themselves was extremely unprofessional especially when it was directed at us in. It continued to the point where I had to call the staff over and address the situation directly. Only after doing so did they stop and leave us alone. This was particularly disappointing from a five star hotel. Finally, we received a call from the hotel informing us that they wanted to give us a gift for our stay. When the butler came to our door, he presented us with traditional Chinese mooncakes. I thanked him and went to close the door, but he placed his foot against the door and then proceeded to ask for a tip. I found this extremely inappropriate. If something is presented to a guest as a gift from the hotel, I do not expect to then be asked for money. At that point, it no longer feels like a gift; it feels as though I am being asked to pay for something that was supposedly complimentary. Overall, we did have a pleasant stay, and I genuinely appreciate the efforts made for my girlfriend’s birthday, particularly the room, view, decorations and complimentary cake. However, I wanted to leave a truthful and honest review because these issues should not be overlooked, especially when paying five star prices. There were certainly some wonderful aspects to our stay, but there were also several experiences that fell below the standard I would expect from a five star Kempinski hotel.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and come with a balcony. When checking in, you need to register your vehicle to park in the underground parking lot 🅿️, otherwise, you might be charged a parking fee. We had three king-size rooms, and 1119 had the best view, overlooking the lake from the balcony, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room directly opposite could see the golf course behind, which was great for sunset views. The bathroom and bathtub are in separate spaces opposite each other, designed with two sinks for simultaneous use. The front desk is on the second floor, and the connecting corridor to the hot spring ♨️ is also on the same floor, though it's a bit of a walk. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor. Complimentary fruit was provided in the room.

The resort environment was very comfortable, and the kids absolutely loved participating in all the activities, having a great time. The atmosphere at night was quite lively too. Vera provided excellent service, and overall, I was very satisfied – a full five-star recommendation! What I loved most was that all the activities were included. Whether for adults or kids, indoors or outdoors, there were rackets provided by the hotel for basketball, table tennis, billiards, football, archery, and golf. The water park was quite large; the depth was perfect for children to swim, though a bit shallow for adults. Plus, all the craft activities, performances, flying trapeze, and aerobics were really fun! Dinner was the most abundant meal, with various international cuisines. The sashimi, BBQ, and salads were all delicious. The dessert bar was the most amazing part – truly five-star standard! My daughter even said the roasted lamb chops were incredibly tasty. 😋 We stayed in the Shaun the Sheep room, which was decorated so cutely. My child said she wants to come back again next time! The most comfortable aspect, actually, was the beautiful environment of the Songshan scenic area. It's a natural oxygen bar, bringing you close to nature; you can see and smell the natural aroma. There were also about a dozen adorable little cats! 😍 We plan to try out Club Meds in other cities and countries next time!

This place has everything you could want nearby: food, drinks, entertainment, and shopping. It's really close to the subway station, and bus access is pretty convenient too. It looks like a regular hotel, but it's actually more like a hostel. The staff are enthusiastic and friendly, and there are a lot of international guests. I stayed here for a few days, and they even have washing machines and dryers available. Definitely my top choice for my next trip to Beijing!

Today I'm on duty at work. It's scorching hot and there's no air conditioning in the office. It's really unbearable. I emergency chose this Xinqiao Hotel. Facilities: I chose a windowless non-smoking room. The size is decent, and the facilities are quite complete. This hotel has several Chinese and Western restaurants, so dining is quite convenient. Hygiene: The hotel's hygiene is good; it's relatively clean. I specifically chose a non-smoking room. Because it's windowless, the room is equipped with an air purifier. Environment: It's very close to my workplace, only about two or three hundred meters away. The environment is good. Service: The check-in service at this hotel was relatively quick. Room cleaning was also quite prompt, and check-out was fast. The breakfast service was also pretty good, I guess?

The hotel is located in Baochao Hutong, a traditional Old Beijing alleyway. The courtyard is very comfortable, perfect for relaxing and playing chess, and great for families with kids staying for multiple days. You can easily bike to the Drum Tower and Nanluoguxiang for meals and shopping. It's about a ten-minute walk to the subway station, but biking is more convenient. The front desk staff are very friendly. They arranged a private car to the Great Wall for 500 yuan, which saved a lot of hassle and was very comfortable.
