You can easily access People's Square Metro right outside, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is just next door, making it perfect for dining and shopping. "The location is great, near to many famous food places and shopping district. However, the hotel room is small, bathroom is small too. The room has a smell of mouldy air con, or clothes not dried with sun kind of smell that lingered for long. They don’t change bedsheets or blanket covers unless requested (we stayed five nights). And after night 3 I requested cos it was dirty. Ordering food and collection of Taobao parcels were easy. Service staff were friendly. So all they need is really a Reno I guess. Oh there is no drop off area for hotel so getting on cabs or didi was a bit difficult but doable."

"Booked for a business trip, the location is excellent, right opposite Raffles City North Bund. It's very convenient for transportation, and just a short walk to The Bund, where the riverside scenery is beautiful. It's only three floors high but has many rooms. I was happily upgraded to a room with a window for free. The room decor is very modern and youthful, and it even has a large bathtub. They provide disposable tub liners and bath salts, along with complimentary drinks. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. The soundproofing was just so-so, as I could hear noises from the corridor. The air conditioning cooling was also just so-so. Breakfast costs 50 yuan per person. There are two Chinese main course options and one Western. The wontons were pretty good, and the other buffet items were tasty too. The toast was excellent when toasted. Since it was off-season, there weren't many people. Overall, I had a great experience."

"It was a beautiful hotel with very unique decoration for the price. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet away from the city noise. There are many Burger king, pizza hut, chagee, starbucks, and local restaurants around. The space is also large. It was a very nice hotel close to the airport. There were also airplane headphones and eye protection in our room 😍. It was even more convenient with the shuttle bus that goes to the airport starting at 4 in the morning. I will choose it again next time I come"

"Location was perfect and also despite being in China, there was no cigarette smell in the room at all. The location was excellent, and the hotel was very clean. I was initially worried because some reviews described it as an old hotel, but I found nothing unpleasant or inconvenient. Everything was well maintained, and I had a great stay."

"The hotel was very nice. No bad smell in the room or the conditioner. No wet smell. Quiet location. The room was rather new. Beds are comfortable. Aby from reception was very nice! Overall we really liked our stay here. The only thing that was a little odd for me - the cleaning lady didn’t make our beds and didn’t wash the cups when we used it. Other than that - a very nice and pleasant experience. Lunch is amazing! We will come back to this place the next time we are in Shanghai. Good value!"
