GGuest UserI come to Tokyo several times a year, staying a fortnight or more each time. This time I spent seven nights at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu. The room faced Hie Shrine. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows I could see the shrine's copper roof and half of Tokyo's skyline. The décor was modern without excess; the layout flowed easily, Bose speakers hidden in the walls, another set in the bathroom ceiling, connected by a 3.5mm jack. The curtains were motorized, though you hardly needed to close them. The turndown service. I would leave in the evening and return late to find the room changed: only the hallway light and bedside lamp left on, a bottle of water and a glass on the nightstand, two chocolates beside them. The evening tea and teacup, previously stored in the cabinet, had been moved next to the coffee machine. These changes were so slight you had to think back carefully to confirm they had happened at all. The temperature and humidity had been adjusted. As if the room itself remembered your habits. Room service fell short of the ryokan in Hakone or Lake Toya, but well above the ordinary hotel. Each day I made two or three cups of complimentary coffee, played music, read, wrote. In seven days I finished three books. The research ahead began to take shape. There were drawbacks. No washing machine, but a decent laundromat ten minutes' walk away—a chance to wander the streets of Akasaka. The room provided HDMI and ethernet ports but no cables; for those who came to rest, perhaps a mercy. The minibar fridge was mostly occupied by drinks for purchase, same as the Imperial, though there was still room for my sparkling water. The day I left it was half past five and fully dark. I could barely make out the faces of the bellhop and the taxi driver. Together they loaded my luggage into the boot. I wished the bellhop a happy new year in Japanese and told her I liked her hat. She smiled and returned the greeting. As the taxi pulled out of the underground drive, I thought of the inns Kawabata once wrote about: what had to be sought in the mountains of snow country can now be reached by elevator from the B2 exit of a metro station. I have watched the Shinagawa Prince Hotel loosen quietly over time, slip a little. That kind of decline is rarely one great error. It begins the day someone forgets to leave a glass of water, neglects to move a packet of tea, omits a newspaper. As for The Capitol Hotel Tokyu: in Japanese, what I experienced over these seven days is called ちょうどいい.

XXiaomolvxingzhongThe room was very new and located right near Akihabara Electric Town. It was a bit small, so it might be something to consider if there are two of you, but all the other facilities were excellent. I'd definitely stay again. It's also very close to Asakusa.

GGuest UserI've been staying at this place for a decade now, visiting several times a year, often for a month at a time. The location is convenient. However, a friend once smoked in my room during a previous stay. Ever since, I'm reminded about it every single time I check in. It's incredibly frustrating. I don't know how many other decade-long loyal customers you have, but you've certainly succeeded in making me not want to stay here anymore.

GGuest UserWe had an excellent stay at the Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel. Arriving by train, we entered through the side entrance and were immediately impressed by the spacious, welcoming lobby. The check-in process was seamless, and the complimentary skincare set was a very thoughtful touch. The spa facilities were clean and felt very secure thanks to the card-key access. Our room was large, spotless, and well-equipped with all the essentials. We also appreciated the lobby refreshments (coffee, tea, and water) while waiting for our airport bus. All the staff are very helpful especially the conceige counter. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Tokyo.

KKL1234HGreat stay at lyf Ginza Tokyo. The location is excellent, right between two subway lines which made getting around very easy. I was traveling with my wife and 3-year-old, and the setup worked really well for us. The co-working space on the second floor was a big plus, I could get some work done without disrupting the family. The room was clean, modern, and well maintained. There’s also a 7-Eleven just around the corner, which was surprisingly useful with jet lag. Being able to grab food at 3am in slippers made a difference. The reception team was very helpful, especially with arranging airport luggage delivery. Would definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserI've stayed at Keio Plaza's Premier Grand at least 10 times, and it offers incredible value for money. It's much better than other hotels in the same price range, and I highly recommend it. A special shout-out to the breakfast on the 45th floor. While it doesn't have as many options as the second-floor breakfast, every single item is exquisite. The ingredients and preparation are clearly done with great care, making it more refined and delicious than breakfasts I've had at many 5-star hotels.

MMaimaizailvtuThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to Tokyo Dome City – which has everything from shows to dining and entertainment. There's a spacious and comfortable outdoor area, and even amusement park rides like roller coasters, making it super convenient if you're traveling with kids. You can reach the subway and train stations in just a few minutes on foot, making getting around a breeze. The room was quite spacious. Although the facilities aren't brand new, it was very clean and tidy. There are several high-speed scenic elevators that offer great city views. Our room happened to overlook the beautiful Tokyo Dome City, which was stunning both day and night. The lobby is grand and spacious, and there's an automatic foreign currency exchange machine available.

IiPrisssyI had an excellent stay at YOTEL Tokyo Ginza and would absolutely stay here again. From the moment I arrived, the service and accommodations exceeded my expectations. The luggage storage option was incredibly convenient and made it easy to enjoy the city before check-in and after check-out without having to drag my bags around Tokyo. One of the highlights of my stay was the restaurant. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and it was a great option whether I wanted a quick bite or a relaxed meal. The on-site bar was another standout feature—perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. I also really appreciated the late checkout accommodation, which added a level of flexibility and comfort that made my departure day much less stressful. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax and recharge. Overall, every aspect of the experience felt well worth the cost. If you’re looking for a modern hotel with great amenities, excellent service, and a convenient location, I highly recommend YOTEL Ginza. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

GGuest UserThe staff is very professional and friendly. Its a very Japanese style service, smiles but professional and quick and blunt. Overall stay experience is very good as view is best if you are facing Tokyo tower. Property is very big and complex, so be prepared to spend alot of time wandering around. There are a few metro/subway lines. However, you need to walk around 10-15minutes to reach them.

GGuest Useremployees and amazing breakfast. They had many vegetables + yogurt + all kind of meats (I really liked the beef) - really worth it for 2100 yen per person. My only complaint is that breakfast ends quite early at 9:30. It is very close to 2 metro lines (green and orange) so you can easily reach any place in Tokyo. There is a non-stop 7/11 at the -1 floor (you can take the elevator and exit through the shop). It has a very easy to use and good exchange rate ATM. The gym is like the typical hotel gym. Very small and with few dumbbells.
