"This is a massive hotel, within walking distance from Airport Terminal 1. Terminal 2 is a bit further, but there's a large shuttle bus service available, making it perfect for early morning flights. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a three-part bathroom featuring a separate vanity, toilet, and shower. However, a major drawback is that the toilet and shower rooms are made of entirely transparent glass. While there's an outer door for privacy, it means you can't use both simultaneously, which can be inconvenient if someone urgently needs to use one while the other is occupied."

"Stayed at this hotel during our transit. Location is superb, just above the chocolate shop at the old street. Super convenient to walk around. But need to walk up stairs especially with luggage so need to take note. Room was spacious but we saw flies and got bitten by mosquitoes inside the room and the aircon was terrible. We were sweating during our sleep despite the aircon was 17degree. It was an unfortunate experience because the weather was very hot and the aircon spoilt our sleeping experience."

"The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, and there are no restaurants nearby, so you have to take a taxi to eat out. However, the environment is nice, and the breakfast was decent. The reception staff in the lobby were all very friendly and even upgraded our room for free. The hotel's hot spring and pool are very comfortable, but you have to wear a swim cap in the pool, which wasn't communicated in advance during check-in. This wasn't ideal, and we ended up buying one on the spot. Also, the directions to the pool weren't very clearly marked."

"I chose this hotel for an overnight stay in Haikou before heading to Sanya, and overall, it was excellent. The room was clean and quiet. They also offer airport pick-up and drop-off, which was incredibly convenient as it only took about ten minutes, and the driver was very friendly. "Thanks to Jenny, our room was upgraded to one with a balcony facing the sea directly from the bed. Our stay was quite pleasant and satisfying. The hotel's location is also great, very close to Century Bridge, Hainan University, and the snack street at the south gate of Hainan University. It's also not far from popular spots like Qilou Old Street and Yunlong. The complimentary travel photoshoot was a wonderful bonus; we got some lovely family photos. Highly recommend!"

The hotel has a small children's play area, and the staff were warm and attentive ❤️❤️. PPY337Booked 3 rooms with family and a 10mths old infant. - Great service by reception staff: offered welcome drink and patient to answer our queries and accommodated our request for rooms to be same floor or near each other - Spacious, clean and quiet room which offered full set of basic toiletries along with four complimentary bottles of water and some biscuits. Would be good to offer coffee sachets. - Appreciated the comfortable cot setup for 1 of the room. - Location: not the most ideal as might not be easy to locate for some drivers, 12-15mins drive away from Qilou Old Street.

GGuest UserThe room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding. The breakfast was excellent and varied, offering fruits, bread, hot dishes, and even freshly cooked items. The room also came with complimentary drinks, and you could pick up free coffee at the front desk. They even provided late-night snacks! But what truly stood out was the service. The front desk staff were not only beautiful but also had lovely voices, making every interaction a pleasure.

GGongshangThe concierge was incredibly knowledgeable about Haikou! While he was helping me get a taxi, we chatted, and he recommended I go to the Cloud Library to watch the sunrise, which was only a 15-minute taxi ride away. Afterwards, I explored the Qilou Old Street, rented a bike, and cycled around taking photos – it was a fantastic experience. When I returned, the doorman greeted me from afar and held the door open. The whole experience was great, and lying in my sea-view room watching Century Bridge was so relaxing.

MM254153****Facilities: The hotel is very new and has all the necessary amenities. There's a washing machine, gym, and restaurant. The environment is excellent, tastefully decorated in a vintage and Nanyang style. The bedding is very comfortable; the mattress is just right, not too soft or too hard. Each bed comes with two types of pillows, so guests who prefer either soft or firm pillows will find one that suits them – that's a huge plus! The 4th-floor restaurant also serves great food, making it possible to spend the entire day at the hotel without needing to go out. Cleanliness: All tables in the room, including those in the bathroom, were very clean. Service: The front desk staff wasn't overly enthusiastic, but they did handle everything I needed them to, so it was fine. The airport transfer driver was nice and quite chatty. Airport pick-up/drop-off service: Having the airport transfer service was truly hassle-free, and the vehicles provided were new and comfortable.

TTiantianTo celebrate Children's Day, I brought my family to Mission Hills again, but this stay was a mixed bag. I rarely write reviews, but this time I really want to give a detailed one. First, let's talk about the good parts: 1. Upon check-in, the lobby service was very friendly, especially Steven from the lobby staff. Before our car even stopped, we heard a warm welcome. He helped with luggage, guided us through check-in, and introduced family activities, etc. He left a deep impression on me and instantly brightened my holiday mood. Check-in at the front desk was surprisingly fast, no waiting at all, which is rare. 2. The lobby bar staff was very enthusiastic. From entering the lobby bar to sitting down, they thoroughly explained the afternoon tea options and thoughtfully informed us about available discounts. Absolutely fantastic! I apologize for not remembering the name of this excellent staff member. 3. The recreational activities were plentiful. At Squirrel Land, there seemed to be many staff members, but no one proactively asked us what we wanted to play. After we inquired, we paid for the chargeable activities. While my child was enjoying an activity, a young lady came over and enthusiastically introduced the Children's Day activities available tomorrow. This definitely deserves praise. Now, I need to talk about the disappointing aspect: the buffet dinner!!!!!!!! Looking forward to Mission Hills' buffet dinner, I booked a package that included it. I also invited two relatives to join us for the buffet. I spent over 400 RMB on ** (platform name omitted, assuming it's a booking platform), and for 4 adults and 1 child, I estimated the total buffet cost should be at least 800+ RMB. What kind of terrible dining experience did I end up having? 1. On May 30th, I called the restaurant in advance to make a reservation, but was rejected. I was told to come early to secure a table because there was a group booking. At exactly 6:00 PM, I arrived at the restaurant. It was incredibly crowded, and many food items weren't being replenished. A waiter suggested I come back after 7:30 PM. Okay, I accepted. I called my family members and told them to come after 7 PM. 2. At 7:10 PM, we went back to the restaurant and finally got a table. Then, something even worse happened: there was nothing to eat. Plates were empty. We were given four lobster coupons, but we couldn't find any lobsters anywhere??????? In the end, we didn't get any. The plates were empty, the grill was empty. Okay, we waited, until almost 9 PM. We mainly ate noodles, fruit, and air, and felt full. We didn't want to make a scene and spoil our mood further. The table next to us was complaining. So, I advise anyone planning to have the Mission Hills buffet dinner soon: don't choose it. You'd be better off going to Mission Hills New Town for other dining options. 4. Regarding breakfast, has the quality declined? What happened to Mission Hills' standards? Besides the rooms and hotel facilities, which are still familiar, the F&B is simply a disaster. I apologize, but I'm still angry thinking about it now. I suggest checking out the Sanzhengyue buffet dinner. It's similarly priced at over 200 RMB per person, also full, but the food quality is consistently good. Finally, on the check-out day, I met a short-haired female manager in the lobby and couldn't help but voice my complaints. I'm grateful that someone listened. So, ultimately, I'm giving a 5-star rating, which is for the hotel staff, the excellent service staff. They definitely deserve praise. Oh, and the late-night sweet soup was fantastic.

GGuest UserThis is a four-star hotel, and admittedly, some of the facilities are a bit old. When I arrived in Haikou, it had just rained, and there was a musty smell in the room and corridors, which was a bit off-putting. However, everything else was quite good. What stood out was that the shower water was natural hot spring water, and you could even enjoy the hot springs from 2 PM to 10 PM daily. For a room rate of just over 100 RMB, it's truly excellent value for money. Plus, the hotel is located right in the old town, full of local charm and a lively atmosphere. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Haikou.

AAnonymous UserFacilities: Very complete. There's an indoor pool with both a cold and a hot plunge pool, plus changing rooms and showers, which is super convenient and very clean. Environment: Vientiane City is nearby with lots of great food options. Room service can deliver takeout right to your room, which is a thoughtful and attentive concierge service. The hotel also offers turndown service, and the guest relations staff member was very sweet and attentive – I loved her! For breakfast, we were guided to our seats and they even helped make coffee.

I arrived very late at the hotel and felt the air conditioning wasn't working well. Since it was late, I just made do for the night. The next day, I informed the staff, and they immediately sent someone to check and repair it. When it couldn't be fixed, they promptly moved me to a different room. The hotel environment is beautiful and comfortable.

MM24287****I chose to stay here for the Haikou Marathon because it's only 3km from the starting line, a quick bike ride away. It's also just 2km from Qilou Old Street, which is super convenient for cycling and city walks. There are plenty of great food options nearby too, definitely worth another visit! The hotel front desk knew I was running the marathon and kindly arranged for a late check-out, which I really appreciated. Thumbs up!
