"Lufeng Hotel (Haikou East Station) is a bit far from Haikou East Station on foot, and the Didi fare is 8 yuan. The hotel lobby is stylish and simple, the front desk receptionist is gentle and professional, and the parent-child room was upgraded for free when I saw that I was with children, which felt very warm. The hotel facilities are relatively new, and the towels and bath towels are white and soft; the breakfast is Chinese style, with bread, small steamed buns, corn, vegetables, porridge, freshly cooked noodles and rice noodles, soy milk, and milk, and the quality is good. It is convenient to eat around, and the bus stop is 250 meters away from the hotel. Bus No. 21 goes directly to the Bell Tower and Qilou Old Street, which is very convenient. This hotel is the king of cost-effectiveness in Haikou hotels."

The front desk service wasn't very efficient; even though I mentioned my arrival time in advance, they weren't prepared, and our group of over 10 people waited a long time at the front desk. However, the breakfast was excellent and surprising, making up for the disappointment with the rooms. Both the food and service at breakfast were great. I would choose this hotel again next time I'm in Haikou.

It's commendable that they can maintain Ascott's service standards in such a desolate environment.
Two things that left a deep impression:
1. The front desk proactively packed breakfast for me as I had an early departure the next day.
2. The spa staff were waiting for me an hour in advance.
One area for improvement:
1. Upon check-in, the front desk could proactively share information about the cultural center's activities with guests.
Xiao Liang and Xiao Su provided excellent service, making both check-in and check-out smooth.

AAnonymous UserThe location is a bit out of the way, not in the city center, and the hotel rooms and facilities are relatively old. However, the breakfast was much better than at the Langham. After staying for one night, I felt the hotel had a unique style. They were very responsive to any issues, and the service felt genuinely sincere. I'd definitely stay here again; it's perfect for relaxing. Enjoying the evening breeze and stargazing on the big lawn was incredibly comfortable.

GGuest UserI stayed at the Renaissance last year, and my experience this year was just as amazing! This time, I was especially lucky to have Tracy as our butler. Her service was truly thoughtful and impeccable!
Because I was traveling with a child, Tracy was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. She proactively prepared a full set of children's toiletries and even kindly asked if we needed a baby crib. When she learned I needed to prepare formula for my baby, she immediately coordinated with housekeeping to ensure we had extra drinking water. Her attention to detail was truly exceptional!
During our stay, no matter what we needed, as long as we told Tracy, she would help resolve it immediately. Her responses were quick and patient. Our return flight was late, and she even took the initiative to help us request a late check-out, making the entire process completely stress-free.
Upon check-out, we received her warm greetings, and even after we arrived home, Tracy specifically messaged to check if we had landed safely and arrived home smoothly. It was truly touching!
I've stayed at many hotels, and Tracy is definitely the best and most heartwarming butler I've ever encountered! Next time I come back to the Renaissance, I'll definitely look for Butler Tracy – the experience is simply perfect!✨

GGuest UserWe stayed at this resort for 4 nights at the beginning of May while my kids (ages 9 and 11) were on school break. They loved it. They really enjoyed the pool, the springs and the breakfast and dinner buffets. The sushi restaurant is also good. The kids liked the slides and obstacle course in the pool area. There are so many springs here, with varying temperatures so you can choose to soak in cold ones or hot ones. And they are broken into regions (Asia, Europe, America, Africa). The service we received was great. Everyone was very helpful. Jordon in particular was very clear in communicating with me about what was included with our booking and how to access those items. There were a lot of other families at the resort since it was a holiday time but it was not too crowded. Would definitely recommend it to others. Close by is Mission Hills Centreville (retail shopping area), Feng Xiaogang Movie Town (featuring recreated old Chinese movie sets) and Splash City (a large water park). JJingcaizaibeijingThis is a well-established luxury hotel, and overall it's still fantastic. The doorman offered excellent service, helping with our luggage upon arrival. The front desk, however, seemed a bit understaffed; the young lady checking us in was quite busy, and I hope the hotel considers adding more personnel. Consequently, some of the expected services weren't fully explained. The activity schedule was very rich, with entertainment options for both adults and children, so there was no need to leave the hotel – we just enjoyed ourselves right there. The turndown service was very good, and the breakfast taste was spot on. Finally, a special thanks to our butler, Xenia, who even gave us two luggage tags as a parting gift. If I get the chance to visit Haikou again, I'd definitely come back to experience it.

Family Activities:
1. Free rental of sand digging tools brought much joy to the children. A 5-10 minute walk leads to a private, fine sand beach and an endless ocean.
2. The dedicated children's pool is thoughtfully designed with depths of 0.3m and 0.5m, allowing toddlers to play freely. The water quality is good, and there's a daily record of water quality and temperature checks. Life jackets are plentiful, with staff members at almost every corner. A particularly nice touch is that the shared towels are warm from being dried, making them feel very clean.
3. The organized family activities are well-planned and engaging, with staff members actively guiding the children.
Pros:
1. The rooms are spacious, and you can enjoy sea views right from the balcony.
2. The staff at the front desk, concierge, restaurant, and recreation center are enthusiastic and responsible.
3. The Marriott star standards are consistently met, from the lighting to the lawns and pool setups, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
Cons:
1. The room facilities are old and emit a strong, musty smell.
📞 After providing feedback, I was initially told, 'This is normal for a seaside city,' as if I should just accept it.
📞 After clearly stating that I couldn't accept it, a dehumidifier was brought to the room ['improvement measure offered'].
📞 After contacting the butler, an effective solution was provided immediately: we were moved to a room with a relatively more comfortable smell.
2. In both the original and replacement rooms, the doors were heavy and lacked magnetic catches, making them difficult to hold open or close easily.
3. The cleanliness of the public areas outside the rooms was quite poor.
Dining: The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety, with each dish having a unique flavor. There were Cantonese favorites like rice rolls, Mexican-style grilled meats, carefully prepared congee and dim sum, and a diverse selection of noodles. The highlight was definitely the wide array of Western pastries.
Overall: This is a child-friendly hotel that's great for family vacations and relaxation. However, if you are sensitive to smells or suffer from rhinitis, there is significant room for improvement regarding the room odors.

GGuest UserThe hotel's facilities are quite good. I booked a family room, which came with three single beds. The original room probably had two, and the additional bed wasn't a foldable one, it was just like a regular bed, which was a nice touch. The view from the king-size room is as shown in the picture – it doesn't compare to Sanya or Wanning, but it's decent enough considering the price.
However, there are a couple of things I need to complain about: 1. The light switch in our room stopped working one evening, already past midnight. I had to call the front desk to get a technician to fix it. Thankfully, it was fixed quickly, but it was quite frustrating late at night. 2. Out of the three guest elevators, it seemed like only one was working. We kept using the same one repeatedly, and the waiting times were incredibly long, which significantly impacted our experience.
