This hotel truly deserves a long review from me! It's a definite five-star stay, and I give those stars wholeheartedly. The check-in experience was flawless; from the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt pampered. But what touched me the most was the service from our butler, Hailey – no exaggeration, she's the most thoughtful and meticulous butler I've encountered in all my hotel stays. Upon checking in, Hailey brought us a welcome fruit tea and proactively arranged for us to have a quieter room type. The room was already prepared with welcome fruits, and even Hainan's special young coconut, which was incredibly considerate. We casually mentioned that the pillows were a bit high, and by the time we returned to the room a second time, buckwheat pillows and memory foam pillows were already there for us to choose from. It truly made us feel at ease, like family. Throughout our stay, Hailey consistently remembered our preferences – I love Americano, and she would have it prepared for me every morning while I had breakfast; my husband enjoys taking baths in the evening, and she would always provide extra mineral water and bath salts daily. These details might seem insignificant, but it's precisely these small acts of 'remembering you' that transformed an ordinary trip into something extraordinarily warm. Today, as we checked out, Hailey specifically double-checked our bill in advance and prepared drinking water for our journey. When we drove away, she escorted us all the way to the parking lot, opened the car door for me, placed our luggage, and stood outside the car, smiling and waving goodbye as we drove out of the gate. That sincerity wasn't just procedural politeness; it was genuine, heartfelt warmth. In summary, excellent facilities, a great location, and outstanding service. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I return. Highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates attention to service details!

This was my second stay at Block 2 of the Haikou Yingbin Hotel. As always, the front desk staff and doormen were incredibly warm and attentive. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast offered a great variety of dishes. The coffee served in the restaurant was excellent, and the restaurant staff were very proactive. It was the Lantern Festival that day, and the hotel even thoughtfully provided Longjing tea tangyuan for breakfast.

The service at Sofitel Haikou is truly heartwarming! The young concierge proactively helped us with our luggage, and the front desk staff were very patient and gave us a great introduction to the area. The hotel environment is luxurious, stylish, and comfortable. It's very close to the Hainan Science and Technology Museum and a short taxi ride to the duty-free mall, making our trips out and back completely hassle-free. Overall, the stay was exceptionally thoughtful and caring.

The Pullman Haikou was one of the most comfortable hotels we stayed at during our Hainan trip. The room was spacious, clean, and free from any damp or musty smells. We even got to see the dragon boat teams pass by during the National Day celebrations. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering a great variety including Hainan noodles, Qingbuliang (a refreshing herbal drink), and even cucumber juice, which was a first for me at a hotel breakfast. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and had excellent service attitudes, always ready to help with anything we needed. We'll definitely choose the Pullman Haikou again on our next visit.

The Renaissance Haikou offers incredible value for money. The bedding in the room was extremely comfortable, ensuring a sound and restful sleep. Since we were traveling with a large group of kids, the hotel thoughtfully provided a complimentary extra bed, which totally won us over. The breakfast had a great variety of options, and the biggest pleasant surprise was that many facilities can be shared with the adjacent Ritz-Carlton, including exclusive kids' activities, a golf course, and swimming pools. If value for money is your priority, staying at the Renaissance is more than enough. There are also shopping malls and the Mission Hills Duty-Free Town nearby, making shopping very convenient. It's a fantastic choice for family trips!

Thanks to the hotel team's thoughtful arrangements, this trip was filled with wonderful memories. Looking forward to staying again! Better than expected, highly recommended to anyone looking for a comfortable journey. Felt right at home, with attentive service. Outside, the city night view; inside, a cozy haven for a good night's sleep. Friendly front desk, clean rooms, and a rich breakfast – simply impeccable.

Ascott Haikou is very close to the airport, making our morning departure a breeze. The surrounding area is still under development and the entire complex is quite new, so the environment will likely improve even more over time. The hotel's decor is elegant and unique, a distinctive design from the Crest Collection that is truly eye-catching and boasts a unique Chinese aesthetic. The hotel staff thoughtfully called us to let us know our room was ready. Our butler promptly added us on WeChat and provided all sorts of information. Our high-floor room was quiet with an expansive view, and it's about a 30-minute drive to Qilou Old Street. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, which was great!

The hotel is definitely quite dated. Even though I specifically asked the butler for a higher floor, there was still a noticeable musty smell—which is somewhat understandable for a seaside property—and the room looked worn out. On the plus side, the soundproofing was decent, so I actually slept pretty well during my stay. My biggest complaint was the concierge service. When we arrived, there was no one at the entrance to help us. I could overlook it since it was the busy National Day holiday, but I checked out on October 8th when the crowd had already cleared. There were no other guests checking out at the same time. We had a kid with us, carrying tons of bags and dragging suitcases toward our car. Three staff members saw us coming out: one grabbed a couple of car sunshades, and the other two just followed along, chatting and laughing as they quickly walked away. They clearly pretended to be busy just to avoid giving us a hand, which was really disappointing and hard to understand. 😔 On another note, the dinner buffet was alright—infinitely better than the one at the Sheraton Haitang Bay (which is hands down the worst buffet in the world). The Chinese restaurant was delicious, and I especially loved the fried rice (though that might have been partly because I was starving that day).

Checked in on my birthday – a Leo has to celebrate at the Ritz! The hotel called beforehand and I added the butler on WeChat. The overall style is a British manor resort, which is exactly my personal preference. My butler, Winni, upgraded my room type to an executive golf view room (a huge thank you again to Winni, who assisted me many times during my stay; she was always calm, thorough, and highly professional). In terms of location, it might be a drawback if you want to stay in the city center or by the beach. However, for a relaxing getaway, golfing, celebrating an anniversary, or a transit stop, it's definitely the top choice in Haikou. Winni, the butler, asked for my arrival time in advance and arranged a birthday surprise in the room (birthday cake + custom room key + room decorations + a handwritten card – incredibly thoughtful!). During my stay, I tried putting on the green twice and an 'Eight-Section Brocade' morning exercise session once. The gentlemen leading the sessions were very patient. I also swam in the hotel pool every day; it's 25 meters long and the water quality is excellent. The gym was also great – well-equipped, with a bottle of mineral water and a towel at each machine. There were also cold mineral waters available in the fridge. For dinner, I ate at the Sky Bar. They had reserved a table with a view for me and decorated it. As soon as I entered, the gentlemen and ladies (staff) all wished me a happy birthday – it was truly delightful! Breakfast was at the Italian restaurant. The lady who greeted me meticulously explained all the ingredients and food stations and then guided me to my seat. The beef brisket noodles and eggs Benedict were delicious! For hot dishes, I particularly enjoyed the black pepper beef ribs and steamed pork ribs. My child was still asleep in the room, so the kind lady at the restaurant thoughtfully packed some small cakes, eggs, and a glass of room-temperature milk. The mattress was very comfortable, and I loved the bedding – it was fluffy but didn't feel unsupportive. The bathroom had a double vanity and a wet/dry separation, and the bathtub was a good size (the bathroom decor felt the most 'Ritz' to me, haha). Overall, The Ritz-Carlton will always be my top choice for important occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. I look forward to my next visit.

I chose the Hilton Haikou for this trip, and honestly, apart from the grand and luxurious lobby, there were just too many complaints. First, let's talk about the service. We arrived on a red-eye flight, and the hotel staff had contacted us beforehand about our late arrival. We requested two deluxe sea-view rooms to be held, and if room availability allowed, to upgrade one to a family room. The staff said the family room was undergoing renovation, had a strong smell, and advised against the upgrade. Upon arrival, the front desk informed us that due to our late arrival, the only family room available was a 'Balala the Fairies' themed room, which was more suitable for girls. After a long discussion with the manager, they offered to switch us to a 'Coconut Grove' side sea-view family room. Since it was very late, we checked in directly. The next morning, we woke up to find that the 'side sea-view' overlooked a messy rooftop, not even a garden view. The so-called family room just had some cartoon decorations, completely different from the car-shaped beds or Le Di-themed family rooms shown in the booking photos. We had booked the room a month in advance, so why were there only two room options upon arrival? Frustrated, we had no choice but to switch back to a sea-view room. Second, various children's activities and promotions were misleading. There was no 'pool water gun bubble battle' or 'coconut tree climbing.' If these were summer-only activities, shouldn't they have been stated upfront instead of exaggerated promotions that didn't deliver? Third, the front desk service was unenthusiastic and failed to inform us about room benefits. For example, how to book the bus, or that the two complimentary drinks required scanning two separate mobile phones to redeem. I was with my child, so one phone only allowed one drink. I only found this out by asking the bar. If that's the redemption process, shouldn't it be explicitly stated that it's based on the number of phones? Fourth, there's no indoor pool, and only one outdoor pool was open. One was empty, and the lifeguard at the open pool had to act as both a registration clerk and a lifeguard. Couldn't they have a dedicated registration person? The pool itself isn't big, and why can't adults watch from the side? Why is it mandatory to accompany children in the water? I've never encountered such a rule. Is it because the lifeguard is too busy and expects us to supervise ourselves? Fifth, the variety and taste of the food were generally good, but on the last day, we had an unpleasant experience. At breakfast, we were looking for a seat and found two empty four-person tables. We sat down at one, and a male staff member immediately rushed over, saying the table was taken. There was no 'reserved' sign on the table, and no one was actually seated there. We then sat at an adjacent table. A little while later, a foreigner sat down at the table we were initially told was taken. Well, the preferential treatment for foreigners was obvious. I can understand reserved tables for VIP members, but if there's no 'reserved' sign, why prevent others from sitting there? This hotel was a real letdown. Our homestay in Wanning afterward was so much better. The Hilton was truly disappointing: remote location, poor service. I won't be coming back.
