"I recently stayed at Tokyu Stay Hakata during my trip to Fukuoka and had a really pleasant experience. The location is very convenient — it’s only about a 5–8 minute walk from Hakata Station, which made getting around extremely easy. From there, you can easily access the subway to Fukuoka Airport or take the Shinkansen to other cities in Japan. Another thing I liked was the surrounding area. There are several convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and being close to Hakata Station means you are also within walking distance to shopping malls and many local food spots. Overall, Tokyu Stay Hakata is a very practical and comfortable hotel choice in Fukuoka. With its convenient location and useful in-room amenities, it’s especially great for travelers staying a few days who want easy access to transportation and the city."

"The room is a top bed type. The lower bed sleeps two people. But you have to make the bed yourself. Entering the room, you will smell the tatami mats that are permanently laid out. Sometimes I feel a bit smelly from the carpet. There is only one bathroom on the accommodation floor and two bathrooms. If there are a lot of people staying, there may not be enough bathrooms. The location is quite good. Came to stay for the second time The room door doesn't have a lock. When checking out, you must return the sheets to the counter below. Overall cheap Live, sleep and travel"

The location is excellent — just a short walk from the train station and right in the heart of Tenjin, making it super easy to explore the city. The subway connections are fantastic, so getting around Fukuoka and even farther destinations was a breeze. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable, with modern rooms that had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were cozy, and the space was well‑organized — perfect for both short trips and longer stays. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying, with a good variety of options to start the day right. I really appreciated the fresh choices and quality food. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with directions and local tips. Overall, Tokyu Stay Fukuoka Tenjin is a great choice for anyone visiting Fukuoka — convenient, clean, and a wonderful base for exploring the city!"

"17min walk from Hakata JR station or 15min walk from Gion subway station (Exit-5), walk Giono Street & pass by the famous FUKUOKA RAMEN :). As you arrive, you are away from street noise and crowds, facing a tranquil ‘Naka’ river. Lucky us we got Blue blue skies! The pinnacle in AUTOMATION!! You get an email with all instructions on how to enter building, room operations all in English and detailed (Japan). Freezing, but soon the aircon was set for 25°C we were comfortable. Everything clean and in its place. Beds & pillows comfortable and clean. TV local channels immerses you into the Japanese cult….. ‘honto’ Canal City Hakata is 5min walk. They have everything from food, restaurants, ATMs, games area. We liked it very much."

"Traveling solo in Fukuoka, the hotel's location was decent. The room size was moderate, not huge but good for Japan. Transportation wasn't as convenient as I'd imagined, though Tenjin and Canal City Hakata were indeed within walking distance, even if it was a bit tiring. The biggest plus is the hotel's ground-floor cafe – their summer shaved ice and crepes were absolutely delicious! There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby, so foodies should definitely stay here. On another note, both the front desk and cafe staff were very stylish, all young, handsome guys and pretty girls. The short-haired girl at the front desk particularly reminded me of Riisa Naka (Gou-chan), very cute! Overall, I highly recommend this place for solo travelers or couples."

"I came to Fukuoka for a city walk, and here's my review of the hotel: 1. **Location & Transportation:** The hotel's location is excellent! It's super convenient, with two subway entrances nearby. When coming from the airport, we took the Hakozaki Line, and the exit led directly to the hotel without needing to cross the road. For the return trip to the airport, the Kuko Line stop was just across the street. Very easy! The hotel is situated in Nakasu. The Ichiran Ramen main store is right next door – that was our first meal in Fukuoka, and there was even a queue outside. From the hotel, it's a short walk (3-4 minutes) to Tenjin Central Park, 15-20 minutes to Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall, and within a 30-minute walk to Canal City, Nakasu Yatai (food stalls), Nakasu walking street, Kushida Shrine, Tocho-ji Temple, and more. For further sights like Fukuoka Castle Ruins, Ohori Park, and Fukuoka Tower, it's just a few subway stops away. It's also very convenient to take the train from Nishitetsu Tenjin Station (South) to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (with a transfer at Futsukaichi). Hakata Station is only two subway stops away. 2. **Nearby Food:** There are so many great food options around the hotel! I highly recommend a few must-try spots: Ichiran Ramen (main store), Yoshizuka Unagi (main store) – about a 20-minute walk along the river, and Shokudo Hikari (for set meals and sashimi). 3. **Hotel Room:** The room was a bit small, but it was clean and tidy. Towels were changed daily during our three-night stay. The window faced the outer wall of the adjacent building. There was no desk and no complimentary bottled water. The cabinet (as shown in picture 2) was useful for placing items like cameras, power banks, and charging cables. Check-in time at the hotel is after 3 PM, but you can drop off your luggage if you arrive early. The staff were patient and professional during check-in – thumbs up! If you're coming to Fukuoka for a city walk and to enjoy the local cuisine, I'd definitely recommend considering this hotel."

"The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the location is excellent. The only minor issue is that the bathroom exhaust fan doesn't have a separate switch, so if you're sensitive to noise, you'll need to ask the front desk to turn it off. Overall, it's a great place and highly recommended."

"This is the best Ritz-Carlton we have ever visited! The hotel is very new, and the valet parking service was wonderful. The check-in process was very smooth, and our room featured a stunning Japanese design touch, making it truly exceptional. While the gym is a bit small, it has everything you need for a great workout. The location is prime, and we were pleased to find that a late check-out was available. Overall, our experience was fantastic!"

"The room was spacious, and the microwave and bathroom were all new. If you get off at Nakasu Kawabata Station and walk through the shopping street from Exit 5, you won't have to worry about getting wet even on rainy days. There is a walkway through the shopping street to Canal City, so you don't have to cross the traffic lights. There are no clothes to wear in the room, so it's better to bring your own loungewear. There is a washing machine and detergent in the room, and you can dry your clothes in the bathroom. There are a lot of izakayas around, so you can hang out until late at night. You can watch Netflix, U-NEXT, YouTube, and any other subscription service on the large TV if you log in with your own account. When I left the room, I could hear the conversations in the next room, but there were only two rooms on the same floor, and the walls were not attached, so I didn't have to worry about noise. The induction cooker is in the shelf below and there are cooking utensils, so you can buy ingredients and cook them. It was such a good hotel that it was a shame to only stay one night. I would like to stay here again next time."

"The room was quite spacious, as it's a hotel-style apartment, which is a bit different from a regular hotel. There was a Chinese-speaking assistant at the front desk, so communication was no problem. I didn't see any non-smoking rooms when I booked, so I'm not sure if they were fully booked, but for a non-smoker, a smoking room really reeks, and they don't seem to do any smoke treatment. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, with no smart features, but it was an experience to see that 'old money' style. The parking lot next door is quite expensive, around 1500-1600 yen a day, but you can enter and exit freely. You might find cheaper parking a bit further away. It's very close to the Fukuoka Urban Expressway, right after you exit. Nishijin Station is about a ten-minute walk, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options around there."
