MM27nvskql****A fantastic stay! The room was clean and tidy, the owner was warm and attentive, and the location was very convenient. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. The guesthouse exceeded my expectations; the environment was comfortable, the facilities were complete, and attention was paid to every detail. I highly recommend it. The owner is incredibly kind; he communicated with me about check-in arrangements in advance and even shared local food and travel tips, treating me like a friend.
- When I encountered any problems, the owner responded very quickly and efficiently, resolving issues with great care and consideration, making my stay very reassuring.

GGuest UserWanted a special place for some relaxing time together. Do not want to try the usual hotel in the city. After going through the photos, decided to give it a try. And voila….. absolutely no regrets choosing this hotel. The service provided was top notch, the staff are friendly, courteous and prompt. Housekeeping staff always clean up the villa to a level which I had no way to complain. Always willing to go the extra miles in providing personal services to the guests. The Villa I booked had a private hot spring and a huge garden which had the best view in my opinion. Every evening, we are able to watch the sunset in our private garden. It was really out of this world, couples must definitely try it. Everyday the hotel will provide a fruit basket and top up the bar counter with drinks and snacks at no costs. The ever-friendly staff (Miss Lee) even told me to let her know if there are any fruits I would like, she would arrange to fill it up in the fruit basket. She even check with me a few times if there are anything she could do to improve the stay with the hotel. Kudos to the management team for instilling this high service standard. Miss Lee even contacted me after I check out to ask for my feedback. Keep up the wonderful work. I will definitely be back. For this trip is filled with so much wonderful memories. Thanks to the team.

SSarah from ItalyThis was by far the BEST accommodation we stayed in China!! We booked two rooms because I'm travelling with my sister and her boyfriend.
Both rooms were extremely clean, the best comfortable beds ever, hot shower, air con, all the toiletries were good quality and the staff were amazing!!!!
They helped us out with everything!! Even though they don't speak English or any other language (like elsewhere in China), they were extremely helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator.
We stayed two nights but we would have loved to stay longer which was not possible because visa's expiring soon.
When we got there, they made us delicious noodles with beef and vegetables and my brother in law is still dreaming to get the same tasty noodles somewhere else in China 😊
We don't know the names of the hosts, maybe they are wife and husband (we are not sure) but surely this was the top accommodation and treatment we have received in China so we would like to thank you two again for everything you have done for us. We are sure your next guests will enjoy their stay at your place just the same as we did.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel truly hit all the right notes for me! The location is absolutely prime, right outside the high-speed train station – a 5-minute walk, making travel incredibly convenient without any route headaches.
Upon check-in, the front desk staff were all smiles and meticulously introduced the hotel facilities. Their warm and welcoming attitude instantly melted away my travel fatigue. I had large luggage that needed temporary storage, and the baggage storage service was efficient and thoughtful, not at all delaying my schedule.
The room was cozy and spotless. The mattress had just the right firmness, and the pillows were fluffy and comfortable, making the room incredibly comfortable. I slept soundly every night. The most pleasant surprise was the 24-hour self-service laundry room equipped with LG washing machines, detergent, and dryers – an absolute godsend for long-term travelers. No more carrying around dirty clothes!
Breakfast was another highlight. The variety was so extensive it was hard to choose – hot dishes, pastries, fruits, coffee, everything you could want. The breakfast was rich and fresh, making every morning satisfying and delightful.
From the hardware facilities to the service details, everything was impeccable. Next time I'm in this city, I will definitely choose this hotel again!

NNLCKKI had the pleasure of staying at FreshHomeStay during my recent trip, and I can honestly say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the host was incredibly helpful and friendly. His hospitality was top-notch! We communicated via WeChat throughout my stay, and he was always ready to assist with anything—whether it was recommending local food spots or suggesting travel destinations. I even called him at 3 AM in the morning, and he picked up without hesitation, offering help with a smile. If you’re staying here, definitely reach out to him via WeChat for any queries.
The room itself was comfortable, with all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. The bed was cozy, and I had everything I needed to relax after a long day of exploring. The location is also fantastic—just a short distance from Kunming Train Station, making it easy to travel to other parts of the city or even further destinations. There’s also a Shengshiong supermarket nearby and plenty of food options in the area, which made dining and picking up essentials super convenient.

The hotel and garden are absolutely beautiful. The room itself was very comfortable. There is a self cleaning toilet, a big shower, a comfortable bed, a nice small sitting area and our room also had a private balcony with a beautiful view.
Every morning we were welcomed around the big table with delicious Yunnan coffee and the most delicious home cooked breakfast. The host is an amazing cook. It was a very pleasant surprise every morning.
The location of the hotel is also amazing. In less than 5 minutes walk you reach Chamahua street with many local food options. In less than 10 minutes you can hike in the Xishan scenic area and visit beautiful temples. By metro and taxi you can easily reach the city center.
Also, if you don't speak Chinese like us, it's not a problem. One of the hosts speak a bit if English and everyone was really making an effort to communicate with translation apps.

GGuest UserVery clean all around the hostel, in the girls dorm private bathroom, and especially in my capsule.
Upon arrival, owner gave me a breakfast pack and a bottle of water for my early train journey the next day, which was very kind.
The room had lockers, common table and chairs. In the capsule, the pillow was more comfortable than my own pillow back home. An adjustable fan is available in the capsule which made sleeping very comfortable during summer. More charging sockets would be appreciated. Toothbrush and disposable slippers were provided in the capsule too.
The girls dorm private bathroom had towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap provided. Everything was fully stocked including hairdryer, hand soap, cups at the sink area.
In the common areas outside the room, I didn't have time to explore but there's hot water available, and instant noodles, drinks and snacks that can be purchased.
Location is walkable to train station but it takes some time, hence I called take a Didi taxi for 9.9 yuan.
Highly recommended, not just for the budget traveller, but for the hospitable experience. I'll return again when I visit Kunming next.

LLidusGreat location, look for the yellow boards and you will find it easily. The room items are little bit used but all is all right and clean. I would not recommend to stay during cold nights - the room doesnt have AC. I was staying in room 207 and i heard all noise from stairs, even just walking and also people in room 206 were awake and screaming whole night so be aware of that.

AAcw2005Great location that it is near a lot of food places, a store, and the Stone Forest. Even though I already visited Stone Forest on my visit to Kunming in 2018, this was still a good room in that I get my privacy. Hotel workers were nice in that they gave me more water and wanted to make my bed even though I didn't need it. I liked how it had a heater in there to keep me warm whenever the room got too cold. The thing that I was unsure of is how much freedom and accessibility I get in being able to cook things in the kitchen at times and I was confused about whether I was allowed to eat the food that the cook makes, or it is only for guests that order food and pay for it from him. Sometimes the cook is unpredictable in that I don't know when he comes to cook between the lunch and dinner hours. The front desk women were friendly and helpful in giving me information about certain things. I appreciate it when they loaned me a phone charger temporarily when mine broke until I can get a new replacement one. Thank You for that. The only thing I would have to say, is that it is too far from the city center from the train station in where I need to be in order to catch the train to Hekou and cross the border into Vietnam.
