"We were very satisfied with the room. A huge thank you to our hotel butler, Li Shiping (Xiao Li), who was incredibly patient, meticulous, and attentive in helping us with numerous issues during our stay. For example, he assisted with supplies and meals for our children and even helped us with a late check-out due to a flight delay. Xiao Li also diligently resolved many other small details that came up during our stay. We were also lucky enough to get an upgrade to a sea-view room! The beach was just a 3-minute walk away, and there was a pool right downstairs where our kids had an absolute blast and didn't want to leave. It was a very happy and enjoyable vacation at this hotel."

Hotel near Dadonghai Beach/Luhuitou Square/Serenity Coast,Sanya
The Sanya Luhuitou Resort, renamed from Anantara Resort, is located in Xiaodonghai, Sanya, Hainan Island, known as the "Hawaii of the East." It's close to Luhuitou Park, Luhuitou Golf Course, and Volvo Yacht Harbor. Guest rooms, suites, and pool villas embody oriental charm and feature KINGSKYES mattresses for healthy and comfortable sleep, creating a magnificent paradise on Sanya's stunning coastline. You and your family can enjoy a private and exclusive space. A master-level golf course, a variety of challenging outdoor activities, and an on-site children's playground will add excitement and joy to your vacation with your children.

"The villa is beautiful and the pool water is very clean. The hotel is right next to the beach, so you can walk over and dip your toes in the water. The rooms are large and plentiful, and I got a bit disoriented when I first checked in. Unlike other standalone villa hotels I've stayed at, this one doesn't have a butler service; you need to call the front desk for any requests. It also felt like the hotel was understaffed. We checked in during peak hours, and the front desk staff looked very tired and overwhelmed. They didn't even guide guests queuing up in an orderly fashion. The experience in this regard was quite poor compared to the Hilton we stayed at two days ago. If you're staying in a villa, you'll need to bring your own mosquito repellent. Because the rooms are so large and there's a lot of greenery, even electric mosquito coils were largely ineffective. I didn't see any mosquito traps or similar facilities outside either. We were almost carried away by Sanya's mosquitoes!"

Hotel near Yalong Bay/Tropical Paradise Forest Park/Bohou Village,Sanya
Grand Mercure Sanya Yalong Bay features elegant royal gardens as the main style, blending into the tropical coastal ambiance. With 124 rooms, it features specialty F&B outlets and and lobby bar. Leisure facilities include a villa swimming pool, a heated indoor pool, an 800㎡ kids club, etc. Proudly local, you will embark on a journey of local exploration and enjoy sensory experience at Grand Mercure

"This hotel is super convenient in terms of transportation. There's a shopping street right downstairs, making it easy to catch a taxi or get anywhere. It's also close to the beach. As for facilities, there are three swimming pools, and one large pool is open until 10 PM, which I found to be perfectly sufficient. The mini pancakes at breakfast were delicious, and the service was excellent. My butler was also very responsible. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay!"

GGuest UserHaving experienced the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay, and considering our itinerary, I decided to try the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay. The day before our check-in, Kaylee from guest relations proactively contacted me to confirm the details and made thoughtful arrangements for us. 👍 On the day of our check-in, it was pouring rain in Haitang Bay. We were stuck with our luggage in the duty-free shop, watching the rain show no signs of stopping. I contacted Kaylee to ask if the hotel could send someone to pick us up. Kaylee informed me that the hotel didn't have vehicles that could go to the duty-free shop. However, the hotel staff later sent umbrellas for us, helped us move our luggage to the hotel's side entrance, and then the hotel shuttle took us to the lobby. 👍 The hotel lobby is much larger than the InterContinental Sanya Dadonghai, and the overall scale feels comparable to the Westin Wanning/Lingshui. The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The fruit was delicious, and the room was equipped with Baishui Mountain mineral water, with Pure Enjoyment still water for refills. During our stay, whenever I contacted Kaylee, she responded immediately and acted quickly, even when she was off duty, which was impressive! So nice! 👍 Before coming, I learned that the hotel has a large fish tank with many fish, including sea turtles and manta rays. So, I took my child to the viewing tunnel on B2. My child was deeply fascinated by the fish, especially when they saw a giant grouper. My child blurted out, ”Look, fish 2.0!” I was puzzled, and my child explained it was like ”oil tanker 2.0,” with a bunch of smaller fish (like planes) following it. 🤭 We also saw a mermaid show. However, due to the distance of the performance area and limited visibility at the bottom of the tank, we could only see silhouettes. Fortunately, there were pictures of the mermaid show on the tunnel wall, which allowed me to explain it to my child in detail. The entire tunnel wall was covered with科普资料 (scientific information) about various fish, allowing for both viewing and learning. 👍 The tunnel also had multiple observation windows, so you could find your best viewing angle. 👍 The hotel boasts a vast lawn. Looking out, the skyline, the ocean, the greenery, and the lawn were truly refreshing. 👍 The waves in Haitang Bay are indeed strong and powerful, far exceeding those in Wanning and Lingshui. The beach quality is much better than Yalong Bay. We even encountered crabs during the day. 🤗 The breakfast restaurant was spacious, with ample seating. Even during peak hours, we didn't see guests waiting in line. The breakfast spread was rich, and they even offered specialty Xinglong coffee. The lobby staff were enthusiastic and all smiles. Seeing us with our luggage, they proactively helped us move it. 👍 Big kudos again to Kaylee from guest relations! 👍 And kudos to the hotel for its excellent service! 👍

CChuqiuyangguangWhat truly sets Banyan Tree Sanya apart is its unparalleled privacy. Each standalone villa is enveloped by lush greenery, creating a natural barrier, and features its own private pool and courtyard plunge pool, offering an exclusive and tranquil space. We had a dedicated 24-hour butler, Zheng Delin, who was incredibly responsive to all our needs. For our anniversary, he even arranged a complimentary room setup, which was a lovely touch and added to the special occasion. The resort boasts a secluded private bay, with hardly any outside visitors. The sunsets over the ocean in the evening were romantic and therapeutic, and the happy hour at the beach bar created a fantastic atmosphere. Every room is equipped with Banyan Tree's signature aromatherapy toiletries, and upon check-in, we received a special welcome gift and fresh fruit. The floating afternoon tea experience was exceptional. The resort's buggies are available for pick-up and drop-off at any time, ensuring a smooth and uncrowded experience. It's truly a luxurious choice for couples on their honeymoon or anyone looking for a relaxing escape, far from the hustle and bustle of crowds.

CChenqiyuezailvxingThe butler service at Grand Hyatt Sanya was incredibly thoughtful. Upon arrival, we were given two coconuts and a welcome fruit platter, which was a lovely gesture. They also upgraded us to a Deluxe Seaview King Room with an amazing view. The room itself was super spacious and comfortable. The hotel has three pools; they're quite shallow, making them perfect for kids, though not ideal for someone tall like me. Still, it's great if you're traveling with family. The private beach has a bar and music – it's so relaxing to just lie there, spaced out with a drink. The resort grounds are huge, so expect to walk at least 10,000 steps daily, but thankfully there are electric carts (6-8 seater and 4-6 seater) for transfers every 7-8 minutes. Walking takes only about 5-6 minutes, so it's quite convenient. The only downside is how hot it gets during the day; outdoor activities are really only comfortable for a couple of hours in the morning and evening. Breakfast was incredibly rich, with a full spread of Chinese and Western options, an overwhelming variety of fruits, and even Shakshuka – I couldn't eat it all! Overall, it's a perfect place for a relaxing family getaway!

GGuest UserLet me tell you, my recent stay far exceeded all my expectations! A huge shoutout to Kitty, my hotel butler, who was absolutely amazing! She always responded to my messages promptly and meticulously helped me with all my questions. Right after check-in, she shared the hotel's monthly activity schedule and the operation times for all the different areas, which made planning my trip incredibly smooth! After countless rounds of sifting through Sanya hotels on Xiaohongshu and Trip.com, I finally settled on The Sanya EDITION for my vacation. I stayed in a Sea View Suite. I absolutely loved the size and layout of the room. The two sliding doors in the suite were a game-changer! They allowed me to create two separate spaces, perfect for different types of travel companions – whether someone snores or not, or prefers to sleep late or early. The balcony sea view was also excellent; even though I wasn't in a direct sea-facing suite this time, it didn't impact my experience at all. The welcome amenities were also top-notch: sparkling wine, a fruit platter, and a coconut with the hotel logo. The balcony even had a daybed, perfect for listening to the waves anytime. There was also a large living room and a smaller one, with the bathroom and walk-in closet perfectly integrated into the space. The cleaning staff were punctual with daily cleaning and restocking the mini-bar! And every single staff member at the hotel was incredibly warm and friendly, greeting me with genuine enthusiasm. It wasn't just superficial service either. At the beach club, a lifeguard proactively asked me which beach chair I'd prefer and even helped me move it to avoid the afternoon's strong sun. The cleaning staff would also actively ask if I needed my room cleaned. Essentially, whatever I needed, the hotel staff were quick to respond. The hotel's public areas are full of thoughtful details, and every angle is picture-perfect. There are also plenty of public resting spots and several pools, offering different views and catering to both photo ops and family fun. The hotel's activities are also plentiful. The 'Sunset Moment' hosted on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings at 6 PM is what I'd call 'Man and Fire' – incredibly captivating! Highly recommend it. The hotel pretty much catered to my 'P-person' needs – someone who's lazy, doesn't want to plan, but still wants entertainment. So I mostly stayed within the hotel. Plus, the hotel offers scheduled shuttle services to the duty-free shop and Atlantis Hotel. I want to express my sincere gratitude to The Sanya EDITION for the meticulous service and care I received during my stay. I'll definitely be a returning guest if I get the chance.

GGuest UserEvery year, I come to Bird's Nest for a few days. Even though I'm quite afraid of small animals, the mountain scenery is truly beautiful. I've stayed at Egret and Eagle before, and this time I'm in Phoenix Terrace. The pool is gorgeous, and the Thai food is delicious, but the prices seem to have gone up again! One thing was quite annoying: one day, we called a car to go for breakfast. We waited at the pickup point for nearly ten minutes. When the car arrived, the three of us stood up and walked a few steps towards it, when a tour guide aggressively yelled, 'This car isn't for you! Only hotel guests can ride it!' My husband, still good-natured, told him, 'We are hotel guests, and we booked the car.' But the guide, still very strong-willed, retorted, 'You can't take this one!' He startled my daughter, who was walking in front! If I hadn't wanted to spoil the day, I would have asked him to speak properly and why he was being so rude early in the morning! Later, the driver, after checking on the walkie-talkie, called us back to the car. The tour guide took 4 or 5 tourists aside to explain something; they didn't even look like hotel guests. It was quite frustrating! I reported the incident to the butler, who explained that the guide was from the scenic area, not the hotel. He also offered a late check-out, but we were rushing to our next hotel, so we declined. Although the tour guide was technically right that it's a car for hotel guests, we didn't do anything wrong. Being yelled at for no reason, I really hope they can train their staff better. When you finally get a holiday, everyone wants to have a good time!

GGudayeThe hotel's overall design is excellent, with a high-ceilinged, spacious lobby and beautiful courtyard greenery. The pool area is also very nice. The rooms are quite large; our upgraded garden room faced the pool and garden, offering a lovely view. Room facilities were comprehensive. The service was outstanding, and there wasn't the slightest unpleasant odor in the room, which was a stark contrast to a five-star hotel I stayed at previously in Haitang Bay (though I forgot to mention that in my review of that hotel). The handwritten welcome letter from the staff showed genuine sincerity and a high level of management. All the hotel staff, from the butler who added me on WeChat upon arrival to provide information, to the welcoming staff in the lobby, were very enthusiastic and attentive. They even followed up after we checked out to ask for feedback. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of high-quality items, and the dining area (a sprawling open-air restaurant on the first floor) was excellent. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserOverall, it's a great hotel, as expected from a Marriott property, located right next to luxury hotels like the Grand Hyatt, JW Marriott, and Atlantis. Getting to the beach is super convenient, though the waves at Haitang Bay are quite strong, making it unsuitable for swimming. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are well-maintained. There's a free shuttle bus to the duty-free shop, which is very handy. The staff were excellent throughout, with our butler, Tudou, providing incredibly thoughtful service. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay, but they were all resolved smoothly and promptly. It's also very convenient for visiting Wuzhizhou Island, and the nearby snack street is fantastic, offering everything from Zao Po Cu hotpot to coconut chicken. The breakfast spread is quite varied, with local specialties like Hou'an noodles and pickled rice noodles available every day. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance!

GGuest UserThe room was quite peaceful, facing the sea with a beautiful view. However, we had to keep the dehumidifier on constantly, and it happened to be an exceptionally humid few days during our stay. A huge thank you to Chris for their meticulous service! They added me on WeChat a day in advance, sent restaurant recommendations and local attraction routes near the hotel. During our stay, any help we needed was met with a quick response. After checking in, we went straight to have 'zaopo cu' hot pot, and while we were eating, Chris brought us our room card, and our luggage had already been delivered to our room – truly appreciate it! Because it was so hot, we spent most of our days at the hotel. The Chinese restaurant on the G floor was excellent; the shrimp, fish, and soups were all delicious. They even gave us salted egg yolk zongzi for the Dragon Boat Festival. The dessert shop opposite the front desk was also good; the 'qingbuliang' (a local dessert soup) was better than the one we made ourselves at breakfast, haha. Housekeeping was also very timely with daily cleaning. The swimming pool didn't have arm floats for adults, but luckily, I brought my own swimming ring and just needed to inflate it there.

GGuest UserA perfect stay at the Ritz-Carlton, truly a luxurious five-star experience. The lobby has an elegant style, the room is clean and spacious, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. The staff are polite and thoughtful, and the turndown service was full of lovely details. The overall experience was excellent from start to finish. It's my first choice for travel and I highly recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They also gifted a special 'Sea Palace Island Photo Shoot' experience, which was really nice. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe room with a sea view was absolutely beautiful, clean, and comfortable. A special thank you to Ms. Coral for arranging such a satisfactory room for me! Yalong Bay is perfect for those who prefer peace and quiet, and the hotel is just a five-minute walk to the beach, making it ideal for families with young children. I used to always visit Yalong Bay, but this time I tried a hotel in Haitang Bay. While it was newer, it was a bit further from the beach and more suited for families with older kids and a livelier atmosphere. Personally, I much prefer Yalong Bay! The only downside of this trip was Wuzhizhou Island. The hotel there was incredibly old, and we barely saw any other guests in the corridors, yet the staff claimed it was fully booked. Later, out of curiosity, I learned that Wuzhizhou Island only has about 250 rooms open to guests at any given time, so who exactly was staying there? It was quite creepy, and I felt like we were the only ones on our floor… I barely slept all night because the mosquito coils were completely useless, and my child kept getting bitten by mosquitoes. Just how many mosquitoes were there?!
