Amazing
GGuest UserWe've stayed in many 5 star hotels over the years all over the world but we were still very impressed with The Millen rooms and service! Extremely comfortable beds, service and responsiveness from front desk and housekeeping, beautiful room with the lovely tub that we used daily during our 4 day stay, turn down service with the lovely cookies and second round of room cleaning, ample amounts of water, nespresso pods and fluffy towels, robes and slippers. Everything was beautifully curated in the lobby, corridors rooms and even a very helpful guard stationed at the car park level. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly! The only thing that would have made our stay even better would have been an ev charger in the parking area. Luckily, there was one about 400m outside the hotel but not so convenient as we had to sit in the car to wait for charge rather than relaxing in our room. All in all, we'll definitely be back for another stay next round we're in Penang. Thank you to all the lovely hotel staff that made our stay so memorable!
GGuest UserExceeded expectations! Very good location linked to Gurney Plaza and lots of food options along the streets. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Basic amenities are provided including bedroom slippers, toothbrush, cotton pad, etc. Buffet breakfast has good variety. Would be returning to this property the next time I’m in Penang.
GGuest UserWe always stay in this hotel or the next one every time we visit Penang. As usual, beautiful and nice and clean room. We got a cake for our anniversary. Breakfast is good and not crowded like the other hotel. Best location next to 2 shopping malls. We went for seafood buffet in the other sister hotel and at senior citizen price. Fantastic offer.
Will definitely be back. We requested for late checkout because don't want to go too early to airport. They gave us 2 more hours which was fantastic.
SStevenvaFacilities: The facilities and equipment are quite old-fashioned, like the door handles, faucets, and switches, but they all work perfectly and have a great sense of history.
Cleanliness: The hygiene was excellent. Housekeeping even came in the mornings to offer fresh towels and drinking water.
Environment: The environment is beyond words. I think it's the best and quietest area in George Town, right by the sea. The sunrises and sunsets were incredibly relaxing.
Service: As soon as the taxi pulled up to the hotel, a doorman was there to greet us, help with luggage, and check us in. The front desk staff spoke multiple languages, making check-in very smooth. Our luggage was quickly brought to our room by a doorman. The F&B staff were all very warm and attentive.
This time, I stayed in the Deluxe Heritage Wing Suite, which was incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend!
CChing Sze Cindy ChiuThis is one of the best places I have stayed in SE Asia! The shophouses are cute and spacious (we stayed in Indian Shophouse and our parents stayed in another king’s size bedroom), the aesthetics inside the room and especially in the lobby/ afternoon tea area/ breakfast cafe is incredible and nostalgic. Great services from the staff and so friendly that you feel you are being taken good care of. Also got the cutest cats too! The location is unbeatable - we can walk to everywhere in Georgetown and to the Esplanade with ease. Highly recommended for travelers to stay here!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel facilities were decent, and the room was spacious and clean, making for a very comfortable stay overall. Most importantly, the hotel's location is fantastic! Many attractions in George Town are within walking distance, which is incredibly convenient. There are also plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel. There's a durian stall called 'Seng Huat' very close by, which I highly recommend! They have a great variety of durians, the owner offers excellent service, and there's no need to queue.
The hotel breakfast was quite ample. The gym on the fourth floor is large and well-equipped, and the pool is also sizable.
The only downside was the somewhat cold attitude of the Malay staff. When I went back to the concierge to retrieve something from my stored luggage, they were very impatient. Similarly, during breakfast registration, the Malay staff member was brusque and stern-faced. It makes me wonder, are Malay people truly unfriendly towards Chinese people?
In contrast, the Indian and Chinese staff at the front desk for check-in, as well as the Indian housekeeping staff, were very warm and proactive.
GGuest UserStayed for one night. We originally booked a Deluxe King room via trip apps but were upgraded to an Executive Deluxe King room.
The hotel has a nice indoor saltwater swimming pool located in the center of the 2nd floor. Unfortunately, the steam room/sauna was broken during our stay.
Our room was clean, spacious, and equipped with a cool air conditioner, a bathtub, and a separate shower. It also came with a free minibar, though the lighting was a little dim. Breakfast was standard and cost around RM50 per person (not included in the room rate).
Location is excellent—situated near many Michelin Gourmand restaurants and only about 500 meters from KOMTAR.
The service was excellent.
Highly recommended for couples and families!”
GGuest UserThis stay was absolutely fantastic! I definitely have to give it a five-star rating. The hotel's location is super convenient, with a 7-Eleven right downstairs and plenty of food options nearby. The room was spotless, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring I had a great night's sleep. I especially want to commend the service; everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was incredibly friendly and responsive. Next time I'm in Penang, I'll definitely stay here again! Highly recommend it to everyone!
MMoh UsmanThe location is the key. It sits in centre of george town, easy to walk to key places in george town like armenia street, chulia and canon street. Everywhere its under 10 minutes walk. Apart from that cleanliness is another feature you can trust here. A great value of money for 3 star stay in penang. We didn't try breakfast so not sure about that but there are alot of breakfast options around the hotel.
SsummerflyyyThe hotel staff were really friendly and even let us check in early, which was super smooth.
We stayed in a windowless room. There was this weird extended space in the ceiling between the two beds (like a fake window, I guess?). Not sure why it was designed that way, it was a bit strange (and a little creepy for two girls). During the day, it seemed like it was meant to let some light in.
There's a pool on the third floor, but we didn't get to try it out. We were only staying for one night and didn't have much time.
Right across from the hotel is this building, and I actually bought a fridge magnet of it! Only realized it after I bought it, haha.
