"Highly recommended! This guesthouse is right in Qibao Ancient Town, making it super convenient for exploring. It's also very close to Hongqiao Airport, about 5-6 kilometers away, a 15-minute taxi ride. There are subway stations and malls within a 15-20 minute walk. The ancient town offers all sorts of authentic Shanghai breakfast, lunch, and dinner options – tangyuan, fried dough sticks, xiaolongbao, local cuisine, and teahouses, you name it! 😉 Key highlights: The guesthouse's interior is beautifully decorated and very clean. The common area with a tea table and bar is perfect for enjoying tea or a casual drink. The staff here are even better than five-star hotel service! They help with luggage upon arrival and departure, clean the room daily, and even assist with laundry. My family left sunglasses in the room, and the staff helped mail them back. My elderly father enjoys morning tea, and the staff even prepared hot water at the tea table every morning for him. The family room has an adorable Egyptian god theme! We stayed for four nights and were extremely satisfied! The value for money is much better than hotels in the city center. This is definitely my top choice for a trip to Shanghai, and I'll be back."

"We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to Disneyland, which was very convenient for our trip. They picked up us from hotel to Disneyland and also back to hotel after Disneyland. The location is great, and the staff was attentive and helpful. However, the room we were initially assigned had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was a downside. Fortunately, when we reported the issue, the staff quickly offered us an alternative room, which we really appreciated. I would recommend that the hotel take extra care to prevent this from happening to other guests. Overall, we had a good experience, but the hotel could improve in ensuring rooms are always fresh and odor-free."

"The location is located in the forest but there's no light surrounding during night . There are 3 pet dogs who live nearby (one of them is friendly). During winters the place is almost empty. Best for solo or couple travels. Sauna in winter is a must try. Overall the room needs a little repairing but it's not that noticable. The rooms are pretty large and provide all amenities. Each room is calm a provides a retreat for a peaceful vacation. The Breakfast lady is nice and hospitable. Breakfast included milk, croissant , a pastry an egg and a bowl of wontons. All snacks and fruits provided in room are complimentary. Overall a nice place for short weekend trip. In morning one can have a morning walk around forest or bike ( during winters the bike become a bit rusty though). The place also provides Kayaking in the nearby lake for 100 RMB / 3 hrs . It's best to enjoy kayaking in summers. Will visit here again. Also the place doesn't provide dinner but there are 2 nearby places providing good food. Make sure to take a torch along the way to restaurants at night as it gets quite dark."

"Enjoy Disney with dedicated shuttle service to and from the subway station: The driver was punctual and waited for us. The vehicle was a spacious business van, very comfortable to ride in. The owner confirmed the pick-up and drop-off times with us in advance, which was incredibly convenient. Highly recommended! Service: The breakfast porridge was delicious, and there was a good variety of options. For the price, it's excellent value for money. They even packed breakfast for us since we had early access to Disney and didn't have time to eat there. Facilities: We booked a room with a bathtub, which was perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day. However, the fixed showerhead on the third floor had poor water pressure; I'd suggest getting that fixed. I prefer not to use handheld showerheads. Hygiene: I always bring my own disposable three-piece bedding set when traveling, so I can sleep soundly, whether it's a guesthouse or a star-rated hotel. I'll always use my own sheets and duvet covers. Even with meticulous cleaning, it's hard to avoid some guests with personal hygiene issues. Also, the air conditioning's heating was quite effective. I forgot to take photos of the room, but it looked exactly like the pictures."

While it's in a somewhat secluded area, food delivery works perfectly, so there's no need to worry. **A quick note:** I've seen some negative reviews claiming they were 'scammed,' mentioning the rural surroundings and small rooms. However, the hotel's interior is exactly as pictured – stylish and well-designed. While it is surrounded by countryside, much of the area near Disneyland is rural, so criticizing that seems a bit unfair. Most guests are likely here for the convenience to Disneyland, and for a few hundred yuan, the value for money is exceptional. As for room and bed sizes, all that information is clearly provided in the booking details; it's not a mystery box, and you truly do get what you pay for. **Room Amenities:** We booked the 'Starlight Room.' The bathroom has a curtain for privacy and features a wet/dry separation. The hairdryer is high-speed, which I really appreciated as drying long hair can be such a hassle. The TV is a Xiaomi brand – I don't know the exact size, but it was plenty big. What's even better is that it comes with a Xiaomi TV membership, so you can watch videos from various platforms and even screen mirror your devices. Huge thumbs up! **Excellent Staff Service:** 1. After booking, before check-in, the staff called and added me on WeChat to confirm the check-in time. Any questions we had afterward were quickly answered via WeChat. 2. The front desk staff provided exceptional service. Our Starlight Room was on the 3rd floor, and our luggage was quite heavy. He effortlessly helped us carry our bags up and down in a flash – truly commendable! 👍 3. It was late August, peak summer in Shanghai, with temperatures feeling like 36°C. The staff had thoughtfully turned on the AC in our room before we arrived, which was a welcome relief! 4. On the second day, our pre-arranged shuttle was arriving soon, leaving us no time for breakfast. The staff went above and beyond by packing up our breakfast for us to eat on the way. 5. Due to our packed schedule, I completely forgot to request room cleaning and replenishment of toiletries. To my pleasant surprise, I received a proactive message from the staff inquiring if we needed anything while we were out. Two big thumbs up! 👍👍"

The environment is super comfortable; I booked this hotel specifically for its design, and it looks just as beautiful as pictured – what you see is what you get. I was initially drawn to the hotel because of the breakfast, and it perfectly suited my personal preferences. The only minor downsides were that the window faced a main street, so it could get a bit noisy at certain times, though it wasn't a major issue. Also, I was hoping for two different breakfast menus, but they didn't change the menu on the second day (though some reviews said it changes daily). Overall, I'm very satisfied. "It was a really interesting experience because I booked a room with private pool and there was no pool at all. I finally understood from the staff that its just a name but there was never a pool. The host lady was extremely helpful and nice, especially when we needed a taxi to book because the hotel is 45 minutes by car from Shanghai and there is no public transport easy to catch. The room was really ample and spotless clean with everything you need. The Chinese breakfast was very tasty."
