Pet Friendly Hotels in Jiaxing

The hotel proprietor of this place was so friendly, helpful and kind; she really made me feel welcome and comfortable. It was raining when I arrived and she met the taxi with an umbrella and carried my luggage up to the room. She also heard me open the door in the morning and ran to carry my luggage downstairs again and waited with me to make sure I found my taxi and gave me a gift of cakes. She also offered to meet me to make sure I got back to the hotel in the evening. She was the best hotel manager I have met during my 8 weeks in China,so far. The hotel is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the West gate along a,tree lined avenue. Easy to find for taxis to park outside. Very clean. I was given extra duvets as the bed was a bit firm for me because I have a hip problem. Highly recommend this place to stay.

***November 2025 Stay Experience*** I received a call immediately after booking to confirm my arrival time and arrange ticket purchases (discounts available, free for seniors over 70). A friendly staff member picked me up and helped with my luggage; they responded promptly to any questions. Regarding the environment, I really loved the courtyard and cabins. Sitting in the courtyard watching the swaying trees and listening to the wind and birdsong was the epitome of idyllic living. However, the reality is that there are mosquitoes, and it gets quite chilly in late autumn and early winter. The duplex layout was a highlight when I chose the room, but I wouldn't recommend it for older people. Getting up at night requires climbing stairs to the first floor, which isn't very safe. The bathroom doesn't have a door, so water splashes onto the sink area. There's no absorbent mat either; I suggest improvements. Also, the air conditioner is extremely noisy, but when it's off, it's very cold and damp, and the blankets feel damp. The staff member mentioned that the noise seems particularly loud when it's quiet here. I explained the situation to the young lady, and she changed my room to ”West Window Dream” for the second night. Although the atmosphere and design were slightly inferior, the standing air conditioner was powerful, and she even added a blanket and an electric blanket, which satisfied my comfort needs! Wonderful stay. The room was beautiful, large and comfortable. The garden was gorgeous and the tea room next to the garden was very quaint. The owner was kind and helpful, making our stay flawless. We would definitely return. Thank you

Like a 'branch of spring' offered from Jiangnan, this stay was a true delight. It's the perfect choice for a large family or two to three smaller families traveling together, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the most authentic Jiangnan water town experience. The traditional, all-wood local residence, while some of its amenities might not be as modern as those in standard hotels, offered a unique and poetic atmosphere by the water that no star-rated hotel could ever hope to replicate. Our hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. She proactively contacted us before our trip with essential information, met us by the roadside upon arrival to assist with parking, and patiently walked us through every detail of our stay. She even went above and beyond by preparing breakfast for us for two days. The Jiangnan-style stir-fried bamboo shoots with pickled vegetables, golden scrambled eggs, and freshly made toppings generously ladled over steaming noodles truly melted away the chill of the crisp water town mornings.

This hotel is quite good. There are many hotels in Xitang, mostly old-house guesthouses, and their quality varies. This one, however, is quite ideal. It has that tranquil, ancient charm of the old town, but the actual living experience is quite modern. We've stayed in many guesthouses before, and most weren't suitable for kids. But 'Lightyear Hotel' is perfect; the facilities, amenities, breakfast, etc., are all very thoughtful. The service from the hotel manager was also very dedicated, thumbs up!

The location of this hotel in Xitang is superb, right by the river! As soon as you step out, you're on the ancient town's canals. We even took a stroll around in the evening, it was so cool and refreshing. We also tried the cold jelly dessert (shi liang fen), which was delicious. The room was great too. Full marks, highly recommend!

From Jiaxing Railway Station, you should take Didi to this hotel though using public transport is still possible. You can find the hailing location easily, and the officers near hailing location are helpful. The hotel itself has spacious rooms, decent facilities, hot water, etc. I visit it when the temperature below 5°C in January. So everything hot is ”mandatory”. If the air condition was too hard to make your room comfortably warm, you can ask for extra heater, portable. The hotel doesn't have elevators, but don't worry, the hotel officer (owner ?) will gladly help you to bring all your luggage up to the first floor. It seem that the rooms opened at floor 1 only (level 2). Sorry my mistake. The location is not faraway from Wuzhen West Gate. Near supermarket (Great Super. Turn left from hotel's door, walk around 200m, right at the intersection), traditional market, food stalls (turn right from hotel's door) etc. I believe you will enjoy to explore.. Lastly, install Amap for navigation, Didi for hailing taxi, Alipay for payment, and everything possible for translation. Of course, buy local sim card. The people are very helpful and nice, if you do that at first to them. That's my personal experience.

The hotel was clean and comfortable for a night's stay. Above all, the receptionist was incredibly kind and friendly, making my stay comfortable. They even lent me a free Hanfu costume, so I went to the bookstore and took some lovely couple photos. What I remember most is the kindness of the people at Ujeon. I'm making wonderful memories :)

I like living in Dongzha, it is quiet and comfortable, the air is good, the scenery is good, the location of the B&B is super good, not far from the entrance of Dongzha, the boss is very nice, pick us up, the B&B is very clean, the window is facing the river, sitting and drinking tea is very leisurely

For this price and location, cannot complain. Was quite content. Great location, rooms clean enough. It’s a family run property in an old town and old building, so please do not expect 5-star service.
