Shanghai Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"The main aim of my trip was to visit Disneyland, and this place is lovely. The location is near Disney, so you can stay affordably, and the room is extremely spacious. They even included a small play slide for my child to play while in the room. There is also a larger play area, and my child thoroughly enjoyed it. I've included a picture of my complimentary breakfast which was decent and quite a lot There is on-site laundry, which is a godsend. The customer service was responsive as well. Some gripes was that as I came during the colder season, they had centralized heating; thus, the room was very warm. However the prompt customer service provided us a fan to tide us over. Thankful to them. Maybe another gripe would be the lack of malls nearby if you need to purchase stuff. There's only a small minimart opposite, but you can order items to the hotel, no issue. I will recommend my friends to come here, as well as come back for my future Shanghai trips."

"This hotel is excellent! Pros: 1. The entire staff, from the front desk and housekeepers to the concierge and doormen, were incredibly kind, warm, and professional. However, it seemed like they were severely understaffed. I personally witnessed five groups queuing to check in at night with only one front desk agent. They were clearly overwhelmed. 2. The room was spacious, the bathtub was very comfortable, and the water pressure was great. 3. The location is very convenient for both taxis and the subway. Just a heads-up for those with luggage: the nearest subway entrance doesn't have an escalator or elevator. Cons: 1. There were some minor cleanliness issues. A housekeeper left someone else's soap in my room. 2. The curtains didn't reach the floor, so I was woken up by the sunlight in the morning. 3. While the Wi-Fi was usable and fine for Tencent Meeting, it wasn't as fast or reliable as I would have liked."

"We booked for airport transfer from the hotel via we chat.  They response very quickly.   However the shuttle got problem on the way and could not make it to the airport but they informed us quickly and try to help in every way.    The service and their responsibility are impressive.   During our stay, the front and the bell are very helpful.  They try to help for every request we ask.    They cannot speak English but that was not the problem, with translation equipment, the communication is no more the problem.    The facilities are superb.   Shower with good water flow, easily adjusted.   I really love their shampoo with Sandalwood fragrance, good quality.   We stay in zootopia room.  The room was designed with nice details.     The mattress and blanket are good quality.  They even have massage chair at the lobby, very thoughtful for the long day at Disneyland. The food are mostly Chinese way, but they have some selection for kids and foreigner.    The fried vegetables are tasty, freshly from the family garden in front of the hotel.   Our family enjoy the breakfast. The location is good for the ones who would like to have a touch with local not the city.   Many local restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel.   Easily access to Disneyland.   Their Disney shuttle system via we chat is very effective.   I picked this hotel because they provide many rounds of Disney transfers.    And even we pick other time, taxi is just 18-20 yuan, 10 min away.       The hotel is quite far away from Shanghai city 1+ hours by taxi. But it is in the middle between  city and Shanghai astronomy museum, which suits us well.     Thanks all staffs for the hospitality."

"Five-star rating, highly recommend! First off, the location is absolutely fantastic. It's super close to the subway, just a few minutes' walk, which makes getting around to attractions and catching public transport incredibly convenient. Plus, there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making everything so easy. The hotel service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The staff were all wonderful, and a special shout-out to the cleaning auntie who even gave my child a plush toy when she saw we had kids. It also happened to be my birthday during our stay, and the hotel surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake and a card – it felt really special. The hotel breakfast was also excellent and had a great variety! It's very family-friendly; the lobby on the ground floor even has various toys, which kept my child entertained and happy. Our stay was super comfortable, and the room had an unbeatable view – we could see Shanghai's 'three-piece suit' (referring to the iconic skyscrapers) right from the bed. The night view was absolutely stunning! It was clean, quiet, and definitely our top choice for traveling with kids. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Shanghai!"

"If I could describe Mido, I would say it is a home away from home. The team express it through their genuine warmth and consideration for their guests. It is a short distance away (about 15-20mins) from the airport and Disney Shanghai. Prefect for travellers going to Disney as the lovely homestay team provides some early transportation and  evening transportation right after fireworks (it is a really a nice touch, not to worry about how to get back to Mido.) As it is my first time in Shanghai, I chose this accommodation for its cute outlook and am blessed and lucky to have met the team who make sure their guests are having a good time. Their two friendly and furry dogs were a pure delight every night when I returned, I would miss their happy energy! I hope to come back again or see them in Singapore if they ever decide to  travel to where I live so I can return the kind hospitality they have given me. Thank you so much for everything, I wish the team and the dogs happy and healthy till I get to see them again."

"I brought my parents here for a change of scenery during the May Day holiday. The hotel is right next to a residential area, and I really liked that the room was quite spacious and even had a balcony! You need to confirm with the staff if you want to open the balcony door. The decor features a lot of marble, which must have been quite luxurious back in the day, but it definitely shows its age now. The service was good, the swimming pool is currently indoors, and the gym is very professional. The Pudong Library and Jinxiu Cultural Park nearby are also quite unique."

"This hotel catches you a little off guard. When the car pulled up I thought I was in the wrong place. It gives very strong Air bnb/bed and breakfast vibes because that’s what it is. The ppl that run the place are very kind. The owner I assume, was very kind and very friendly. He went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Even gave me cold medicine as I was struggling adjusting to Chinese fall weather and had a bad cold. The young man that worked evenings helped me order food and was a life saver because I had no way else to eat. The breakfast was minimal but tasty. Dumplings, boiled eggs and I think congee. I don’t like congee so I didn’t eat any. And I was always greeted with a smile from the lady cooking. The coffee isn’t great. Instant packets, very blah and nothing to drink really except water. There isn’t much nearby to do, it’s not walkable and so I would not stay if you’re looking for night life or convenience. But it’s a nice relaxing, quiet place to stay with a very comfy bed, nice tub, close enough to the airport and good shower pressure. I would definitely stay again."

"The hotel was surprisingly satisfying overall. It's well-maintained, the lobby is grand, and the rooms are very clean. Jessica at the front desk was a great help; she arranged a quiet room for us and gave us a free upgrade, all with a very welcoming attitude. The pool is clean and not crowded – we practically had it to ourselves in the mornings. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to Fengshang Square. During the day, you can take a stroll in the hotel's sunken plaza, which has good air quality, and there's a sandpit for kids. A pleasant surprise was finding a very local skewer stall selling lamb skewers on the bridge at the border of Qingpu, right next to the hotel at night. I'd even seen it on social media before!"

"The room was cozy and clean, giving a warm, home-like feeling. They thoughtfully provided three pairs of slippers and three sets of toothbrushes. It was quiet at night, perfect for sleeping, and there's a swing in the common area for kids to play on. Dinner comes with complimentary breakfast. A big thank you to the handsome young owner who even helped us find a friend to book Disneyland tickets when we couldn't get them ourselves online that day. It's not far from Disneyland, just a short taxi ride away, practically the starting fare. You can also order takeout easily, including KFC, Shaxian Delicacies, and Yidiandian. Great value for money and a comfortable stay. I'm planning to return for a second visit. Wishing the owner prosperous business and a flourishing fortune! Thank you! : )"

"The owner is incredibly kind, warm, and generous, and even took the time to chat with us. **Cleanliness:** The place was spotless and felt very comfortable. The hotel offers various shuttle services, including complimentary transfers to Disneyland! A fun fact: Wang Hedi's Pepsi commercial was filmed here last year, so fans can definitely come and check out this iconic location. The amenities are excellent, with a swimming pool, KTV, and a private cinema, making the overall environment truly superb. If you're planning a trip to Disneyland, this hotel should be your top choice, especially with the convenient shuttle service! My stay here felt incredibly cozy and the experience was fantastic. I'll definitely be returning to this hotel on my next trip to Shanghai! This is hands down my favorite hotel to date; my two-day stay here was absolutely wonderful! For all Wang Hedi fans planning a Disneyland trip, I genuinely recommend choosing this hotel. You can not only visit the celebrity filming spot but also enjoy the free shuttle service to Disneyland. I truly can't praise this hotel enough – it's a must-try! And it's not just Wang Hedi; other celebrities have also filmed commercials here, so do come and see!"
