"The rooms in this hostel are quite small, but still ok. I stayed in a 6-person female room for a week. Aside from one very rude roommate, Sophia, the other roommates were all very nice. On the day of arrival, you can store your bags for free before check-in time (after check-out, it's £5 per backpack, but the price fluctuates and depends on the on-site rate). Note: Late check-out is available until 1 pm (I paid £4, but the actual price depends on the counter). Also, there are other hotel guests, the kitchen downstairs is used for breakfast during 7-11 in the morning. There kitchen is the same one, they don't separate for hotel or hostel. This is for travelers planning to book a hostel. If you're looking to save money or have budget considerations, this hostel would be a good choice."

"The room is on the smaller side, and the bed, while soft, is quite small. The bathroom sink is tiny, making it impossible to wash your hands without splashing water everywhere. There's no air conditioning, so it gets a bit stuffy during the day when the sun is out, though it's manageable at night. Cleanliness is okay, but the soundproofing is poor. People often talk loudly in the hallway late at night, and I could clearly hear the toilet flushing in the next room. Breakfast tasted good, but the variety was limited; it was the exact same spread every day for my eight-day stay. I left my power bank on the bed when I checked out. When I went back in the afternoon to pick up my luggage, I asked a staff member to contact housekeeping, and they claimed not to have seen it, even suggesting I look elsewhere. The quality of service from the housekeeping staff really needs improvement! On a positive note, the Italian restaurant across from the hotel was delicious and the service there was very warm and attentive."

"Capsule was very clean and more spacious than what I expected. It’s a bit of a hassle to store your stuff in your cacoon since there are no lockers near your bed or anything. My two day trip in may was perfect here. Not too busy in the hotel thus not a lot of noise. Love the small touches like; whatsapp text service, music in washrooms and the nice AC in the capsule hallway. I love that you pay for hostel prices, but you get the privacy and cosiness of your own room. Will definitely stay here again!"

"The hotel's location is a bit out of the way; aside from being close to Tower Bridge, other attractions are quite far, making it less convenient than staying in the West End. The room was alright, but the bathroom was a bit odd – long and narrow, and the door wouldn't stay open. I had to prop it open with a stool for ventilation. Service was generally good; the restaurant staff were excellent, and most of the front desk team were very helpful, with only a few exceptions. Free bottled water is provided. However, when I asked a particular staff member for some, she seemed a bit reluctant. After that, I called room service for water, and it was fine several times, but on one occasion, the front desk said only two bottles were provided per day. I mentioned I had been staying at the hotel for over a week (I actually stayed 9 days) and that bottled water was promised when I booked. She then said more could be delivered if requested. Overall, it was just okay; the price was higher than another 4-star hotel nearby, so the value for money wasn't great."

"I chose this hotel because it was close to an event I was attending. The location was perfect for me. The breakfast wasn't the most varied, but I never left hungry. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but perfectly fine for a couple of nights. A nice touch was having four hangers for clothes. Overall, I was happy with my trip and the hotel. The photo was taken upon check-out, but of course, everything was clean when I checked in."

"The hostel stacks 3 beds vertically, like some in London do. Can't sit up in bed. You will be miserable. Will require you to install an app to get pass doors, and register your information to use WiFi. Not the worse place, but not the best either. It's south of London Bridge in Southwark, a little too close to the hustle - some would like it, some wouldn't."

"Highly recommend this hotel, it offers great value for money! The location is super convenient, within walking distance to several metro and train stations. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. It's right opposite UCL, which makes the area feel very safe. The hotel facilities are relatively new. I've stayed at both this one and the Royal National Hotel next door (they're part of the same group), and City Sleeper feels a bit more updated. I was initially worried about noise, but it was surprisingly quiet at night."

GGuest UserThe stay was very successful. Everything was great – the hotel was clean and well-maintained, the staff were nice and helpful, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The room was comfortable and well-equipped; the only minor complaint would be a small bit of mold in the bathroom. I definitely recommend it and would happily return.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

GGuest UserGreat service and nice staff. Currently under construction, this wasn’t apparent when I booked but made the stay a bit less luxurious, and construction noise started early some mornings. My room was also next to a back alley where glass was dropped and shattered the entire night through, making quite a lot of noise. Indicated times on the information sheet of services was often incorrect: bar closed earlier, room service stopped earlier, can’t get extra shampoo etc after 23.00

GGuest UserDelux - NOT After booking apprehensive about traffic noise from the busy main road. Nothing got through the sound-proofed windows, except the occasional sirens. So far so good. Even though I set the air circulation on, set it down to its lowest setting of 17C, nothing changed and the room remained all stay uncomfortable and warm. The raised bedroom was even hotter so I had to sleep without any duvet., The worst was the size of the room. There was 150cm x 180cm rectangle where you might just swing a cat, with 2P sofa to one longside and a 40cm shelf table to the other, full of the welcome kit, no room to put anywhere else and no room for you to use. Al the other floorspae was =taken up by access. Yes there was a small cupboard for clothes for maybe a couple of nights, not even room to put a suitcase. The bed platform was even worse with just a narrow 30cm passage to either side. Then there was the spiral steps up to the bed platform, steep and very narrow probably 40cm widew, inaccessible should you have a wide girth or are not agile. Yes the breakfast and items across all the expected breakfast buffet range, but uninspired quality, powered scrambled egg, no fried egg, didnt ask for a boiled egg, so disenchanted with the whole deal. Before parting with any money make sure that you get a copy of the floor plans there are several odd and small sized rooms, then make sure your room is not either 103 wew were unfortunate to get or its twin 106. Otherwise the interior was clean, modern still reasonably fresh and the staff responsive. Just our room, sold as delux was not, even if you did not want to swing a cat, not even for if sold as a single.

LLiyaniuThe room was incredibly small! I couldn't believe how tiny 10 square meters felt. I was genuinely shocked when I opened the door. It was even difficult to open my luggage. The table was pathetically small, and there wasn't even a chair. Storage space was extremely limited. The bathroom was even tinier, comparable to an airplane lavatory. Overall, my stay was very uncomfortable. The only positives were the comfortable bed and the breakfast, which at least offered some variety. After a difficult two nights, I decisively moved to the Hilton across the street, and the experience was significantly better. What baffles me is that this place was even more expensive than the Hilton. On the whole, dining and getting around were very convenient, with various UCL colleges in the vicinity. There's a Nero Cafe right next door, so if you don't want the hotel breakfast, you can grab something there. Heading south down the street, you'll find quite a few Chinese restaurants, which is very handy.

SSuiyuehaojingThe price was reasonable and the location was great. It's about an 8-minute walk to a large Westfield shopping center, so food options were plentiful. Access to trains, subways, and buses was also convenient. The only downside was the poor soundproofing – I could clearly hear footsteps and conversations from the hallway. One night, I was even startled by a sudden banging and door opening, and when I asked the front desk about it, I didn't get any response.

GGuest UserHotel is a bit dated but it’s clean in general. We had the buffet breakfast and it was good value and have variety of food and drinks. Staff were very helpful and we felt so welcoming. We parked our car at the hotel car park overnight, we didn’t book directly with them but with APOCA as it’s cheaper. Would be better if there’s a barrier or security guard on site. Also if there’s charging port for electric cars, but there’s a Tesco nearby which is about 8 minutes drive, they have fast charger so you can shop while your car is being charged. Great location; The hotel is just outside the congestion zone and 5 minutes walk to the nearest underground station and high street shops too.

GGuest UserThe location of this hotel is great- just a 5 minute walk from Paddington which in turn is just two stops on the Tube from the west end. You are also less than a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Kensington Park. Service at reception and in the restaurant was excellent. The continental breakfast is really good with a wide choice that includes boiled eggs, cold meats and cheese. The rooms are spotless in terms of cleanliness but be aware that if you wake up just before 9 and want a shower the water may not be hot due to wider use but at other times is hot.
