I saw some bloggers on Xiaohongshu saying the rooms were small and the ceilings were low, but honestly, it wasn't too bad (maybe because it was my first time staying at a 5-star hotel, so I don't know how good other 5-stars are). I'd recommend booking an afternoon tea on Naver. After checking in, change and enjoy afternoon tea. In the evening, the lobby has a total old money vibe, perfect for photos. If you're only staying one night, I highly recommend it, especially if you can get a good price!
We originally booked a room with a regular view, but the front desk offered us a Namsan view room, though it was next to the elevator. They asked if we were okay with it, and we immediately said yes. You can only top up your Wowpass at the front desk, not your Tmoney. There's a conveniently located Olive Young not far from the hotel. Cheonggyecheon Stream is just a 3-5 minute walk away, perfect for an evening stroll. Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace are about a 15-minute walk, and you can exit through the side gate of Gyeongbokgung to reach Bukchon Hanok Village. The hotel is conveniently located right outside Gate 6001 of the airport bus stop (Hoehyeon Station), and there are subway entrances within a few minutes' walk in either direction. It's about a 15-minute walk to Myeongdong, which is a bit of a distance. There was a BBQ smell in the lower levels of the hotel, and I suspect the front desk assigns rooms based on nationality because the first thing I noticed upon entering my room was an unpleasant odor.
The hotel fridge had complimentary drinks, and the bedding was very comfortable. It's the quality you'd expect from an InterContinental hotel, and the housekeeping and service were excellent; they cleaned the room promptly and thoroughly every day.

The downside is that there were former employees striking outside the hotel the entire time. It seems this hotel treats its staff very poorly. The daily room cleaning was also done very late, probably because they laid off so many employees. For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
The location, however, is excellent. It's super convenient for getting to major shops in Myeongdong like Olive Young (though a bit far from the duty-free shop). The subway station is right downstairs, and there's also a very large 7-Eleven downstairs with spacious seating for instant noodles. Other stores like GS25 are also nearby, and a 12-story Daiso is just across the street. The hotel doesn't provide disposable dental kits, so you can just buy them directly from Daiso.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially because of the commendable service provided by the concierge and reception staff. Shout out to Manager Smith, the lady trainee and the friendly lady chef.
Entering the hotel was a little confusing at first as there are two sides to enter from. From the side we entered had to walk all the way to the end before taking the lift up to the 9th floor, where the hotel lobby is located (would be nice if they had some directory or stickers on the ground to direct us to the correct lift, we saw other guests being lost too). It was also quite difficult to book a taxi directly outside the hotel. Even when we set the pick-up location as Stanford Hotel, some taxi stopped at Ibis Hotel instead. This is something to take note of, especially when travelling with elderly guests, as they may have to walk further to reach the pick-up point.
We stayed in a Family Twin Room and added an extra bed. The room became quite cramped with the additional bed, but was otherwise comfortable. As we were travelling with elderly family members, one downside was that the bathroom only came with a bathtub, with no option for just a ground level standing shower. However, when we asked the receptionist for assistance, they kindly found a stool for us and brought it directly to our room, which we really appreciated.
There were also a few minor issues with the room. Our room phone could not dial housekeeping directly, so we had to contact the reception instead. The toilet bowl also clogged quite easily during our stay, it happened twice, so I would recommend being careful not to use too much toilet paper.
Happy that the hotel had quite a few convenient facilities. There was a laundry room on level 10, snacks available for purchase at the hotel lobby, and even a luggage weighing scale right in front of the lobby, which was very useful before our flight. There is also an Olive Young directly below the hotel, which was great.
There were a few dining options on Level 9 as well, including a bar and a breakfast/coffee area. We tried the hotel breakfast and enjoyed it. There was a nice variety of food. Definitely not the extensive assortment you might expect from a five-star hotel, but still more than enough for an enjoyable breakfast. They even had a croffle station.
The lady chef at breakfast was also very friendly and would often greet us when we arrive and again when we left. These may seem like small gestures, but they really go a long way in making guests feel welcomed. Hotel guests also received 10% off breakfast, which was a nice benefit. On days when we were tired and did not feel like heading out early, it was convenient to simply stay in the hotel and have breakfast there instead.
One thing to note is that breakfast closes strictly at 10am. If you are still eating past the closing time, the staff may remind you to finish up quite quickly, so I would recommend going down earlier if you prefer a more leisure breakfast.
What stood out most during our stay was the service. The concierge and reception staff were extremely helpful and often went beyond their usual duties to make sure we were well taken care of. When we encountered an issue ordering food delivery, they assisted us with the order. On another occasion, we needed help rescheduling an appointment, the trainee kindly helped us contact them when the place opened and rearrange it for a later time.
We also ran into some issues regarding our check-out, and thankfully, Manager Smith stepped in and helped us resolve the situation.
Despite the few inconveniences, the thoughtful and attentive service made our stay a positive one. The little gestures from the staff, together with the convenient facilities, made a difference, particularly as we were travelling with elderly family members. It was also nice that there were many great food places near the hotel, within 3-10min walk. We would definitely recommend staying here.FromINR 21,318

I had actually noticed this hotel before. I used to stay at a hotel nearby and even came into this one specifically to take photos with the super-sized Brown bear in the lobby. So, before this trip, I made sure to look it up, and to my surprise, I was lucky enough to book a themed room! They said it would be a random rabbit or bear theme, but I was so fortunate to get my favorite Brown bear themed room.
Check-in was at 3 PM, but I arrived at 2:20 PM and they actually let me check in early. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and always greeted me politely when I entered or left.
The themed rooms are all on the 14th floor, and as soon as you step out of the elevator, you're greeted by adorable plushies. The room itself was incredibly cute, like stepping into a fairy tale and becoming good friends with Brown bear. The giant Brown bear on the sofa was super cute, and I also loved the blue sofa, though it showed some signs of age.
The room facilities were all great, especially the TV channels – there were so many! For someone like me who loves to stay in the hotel, this was fantastic. There were even three or four channels with Chinese dramas, and even more movies and Korean dramas.
The bathroom facilities were also good. I really liked that the bathtub and shower were separate; I don't like showering while standing in a tub. The only downside was that the exhaust fan was a bit noisy.
I also have to praise their housekeeping speed. At other hotels, sometimes you put up the 'clean my room' sign and it doesn't get cleaned for hours, but here, it was always done very quickly and was spotlessly clean. I was particularly satisfied with this.FromINR 13,574

This hotel was very close to Seoul station (15 minutes by car).
Euljiro station (10 minutes walking distance).
Attractions:
1. MYEONGDONG-Everything is at Myeongdong including the banana milk at Olive Young; Laneige stores, a thrift store; the food street with the new crocs-style cake, chicken skewers; and great Korean fried chicken 🍗, tteokbokki and fishcakes, and the marshmallow ice cream.
2. The tourist information centre is about 200m from the hotel. Here, you get information and maps and overall clear direction. The staff is very helpful.
3. Great restaurants like KUT (quite literally around the corner), and a Michelin restaurant about 400m away as well as salad bar and coffee shops.

The hotel was very easy to find and the receptionist was helpful. The food was nice; there was enough veggies and the eggs smelled alright. They did not have a tea selection unfortunately but the soup tasted quite nice although I am not sure what it was-maybe creamed corn and potato.
The room was alright and looked just as pictured but it initially smelled like a rat died on the rug(that could be because it had no windows and felt a bit suffocating but the developing plot area beside the hotel kinda also smelled like that). It became less obvious on day 2.

During this stay, we booked a triple room. Worried that the kids might roll off the beds while sleeping, we pushed two of the beds together ourselves. To our surprise, the housekeeping staff noticed this arrangement the next day during cleaning and thoughtfully changed it to a large bed sheet suitable for combined beds. This completely eliminated the gap between the two beds, so we no longer had to worry about anyone getting stuck in the middle. This thoughtful gesture from the housekeeper exceeded our expectations and the attention to detail was truly heartwarming. The original showerhead in the bathroom was a bit worn out, but after we reported it to the front desk, a maintenance person came up very quickly to replace and fix it. The water flow from the new showerhead was strong, and the response time for resolving the issue was impressive. The location offers a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle—it's just a 7-8 minute walk to the main Myeongdong shopping district, and Gyeongbokgung Palace is only two or three subway stops away. There are a few convenience stores right downstairs, which is very convenient. Finally, they even helped me find my lost plush toy, and I was able to arrange a courier service for it myself. We stayed at Aloft by Marriott Myeongdong for 5 nights. The location is unbeatable - convenient 5 mins walk to the main Myeongdong shopping and eating area. Around 7 minutes walk to Lotte Department Store and Shinsegae. The staff at front desk are all very courteous and nice. The rooms are clean and tidy. One thing though they will not touch our personal things in the bathroom, such as my hair curler was laying on top of some dirty towels and upon returning to my room, my curler and the dirty towels were left at the same spot. But their service is excellent - the first night we stayed the air-con was too hot and changing the thermostat did not work. So we called reception and stated the issue. They promptly sent a technician up to help fix the air-con, which afterwards worked fine, and the rooms were cool and we all slept very well. There's not a whole lot of facilities except a small gym though. Overall, a very nice stay at this hotel where the staff are attentive and nice, and they all speak fluent English. We'd choose this hotel again on our next stay in Seoul.FromINR 29,344

The hotel's location is excellent. It's a 10-minute walk to Dongdaemun APM, and only a few minutes' walk to subway lines 2 and 5. Nearby, you'll find CU, GS25, and Coop supermarkets practically at your doorstep, along with three Olive Young stores and even an e-cigarette shop. There are also plenty of dining options, including fried chicken, soup, and Korean BBQ. The hotel reception is on the 3rd floor, and they can speak simple Chinese. The lobby offers free coffee and water. On the 3rd floor, there's a self-service laundry room for 4,000 KRW per use, and further inside, a self-service luggage storage area. The room was cleaned daily, and my stay was very quiet and comfortable! I missed the weekend, so the price was much cheaper, about a third of the weekend rate – hotels in Seoul are truly expensive on weekends!FromINR 12,208

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Myeongdong for one night before flying out of ICN. My only requirement was that the hotel have easy access to the airport limousine route. While there is a stop a few steps from the hotel, we found that, given the time of our flight the following morning, we ultimately needed to use a different stop. We trekked the extra 10 minutes in the morning with our luggage, which was less than ideal, but ultimately worked out fine. The hotel was easy to access, tucked into a quiet corner of Myeongdong. While we arrived quite late in the evening, the staff was glad to receive us. The check-in instructions were simple and easy. We received a room on the 20th (I think) floor with a lovely view of the city. It was clean and well-appointed with space for four suitcases, which was necessary as we prepared to depart Korea with many new purchases. The famous Myeongdong walking street was only a 7-minute walk away, which is a major selling point. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a solo traveler, a pair, or a couple. This hotel is super convenient, located near a subway station, making getting around a breeze, especially with luggage since there's an elevator. It's also close to Seongsu-dong, which is great for shopping.
Downstairs, there's a convenience store, and right next door, a 24-hour restaurant serving Korean-Chinese dishes like Jajangmyeon, Tangsuyuk, and seafood noodles.
Our room was good, and being on a high floor, the outdoor view was excellent. The hotel staff were very service-oriented; I'd communicated with them about the room before arrival, and they offered free luggage storage.
The room was clean, not huge, but big enough to open two suitcases.

Good experience over all. Very close to the Coex mall. Lobby is on 20 floor, which is different from others. Recently SamSung station has been remodeling, made it little noise when cars drive over the steel covered road. But it is reasonable price being in the center of Gangnam-gu. One of the pros was I made a reservation under my daugter's name, which I didn't recognised that time. they couldn't find the reservation a bit long time, and they was wrong where I booked it through. The trip.com.. not ***********. the room is clean. I would like to recommend to stay this hotel. Over all reasonable. There are many restuarants in the Coex mall and shopping spots too.FromINR 18,446
